I think I should go out here. It's really turning heavy pathetic.
Ciao :-)
Why, explain? Don't leave yet. Wait till people are wailing in despair, gnashing their teeth, weeping in chains. Then wait a day then buy.

I;ve heard that bitstamps issue with their changing banks is the main reason for this dump, but it doesnt make sense, their volume has been huge over the last few days, if people were having issues getting money on or off, why such the huge volume? it would be the opposite..
I hate playing the "what the hell happened game" but all ive heard is good news lately about bitcoin over the past few months, so i just dont get it... Im a holder, but im really starting to rethink it..
Remember the recession of 2008? people lost a shitload of their retirement, but it only took 3 years or so to recover and surpass their losses, so, with bitcoin, you have to think long term, what it will be in 5 years, not what it will be tomorrow, it will just eat you up. at one point, I stopped looking where bitcoin was at daily. since the alt, I started looking again, i think im going to go back to not looking. it seemed to work better..

Let me guess... you're still holding?
Yep, its got a ways to go before I decide to jump ship. Besides, given my inability to figure what the hell is going to happen, the minute I sell someone will announce an ETF is approved, or Amazon is accepting it, and it will go through the roof. I committed a pretty small amount of fiat that I'm willing to lose.

monkey is disturbed by world war three. he's confused and out of the market. that means i hold.
... which answers my earlier question. Too bad that monkey is chained up in the basement instead of being allowed to trade. He seems competent enough.

Honestly, given the market right now, an acceptance by Amazon (unlikely given the promotion of their new mobile payment system this week) or the Twinklevoss ETF approval would only cause a small bump in prices here.

That guy that bought all of SR's coins must be kicking himself right now... then again, that money he spent was probably his vacation money for the month. but, why aren't all the other guys that put in their bids buying it up? Thats what I thought was going to happen if one of them didn't win any, they would just buy some on the exchanges, well, now is a great time to be buying.. even if they think it will continue to go down, just slow buy on the way down..

Market this month =/= market in June. If you're not having doubts about the future growth potential of bitcoin right now, you're not thinking clearly. Edit: Also, many of the bidders put in low ball offers, in the hopes of utilizing their large "bank rolls" to buy them up cheaply and offload them soon after for a quick profit.

Monkey is chained in the basement because he's like The Gimp from Pulp Fiction. Useful, but if he gets loose... Watch out. Who's got a gif of The Gimp in action?

So we all know that there were whales, but basically we were binging on credit the past few months and the price was inflated. Simple as day. The manipulators came in and started popping credit like zits. In a few days, we'll have a clean and clear complexion, again. That is really all that is occurring.
However, the CFPB and Lawsky things can be challenges for future adoption, but are hurdles rather than cement walls.
Overall, I say long-term looks good. No pie in the sky $10,000+ roar. But, like you'll make some money if you hang around the game.
Anyhow, if you have taken the fall down this far then you probably should hold (unless leveraged... get out if you are levered up). If you haven't taken the fall down, watch the TA triggers to see when you know a bottom is confirmed.
