To recreate the bug, you may have to have BFX open in one tab, then open the order book in a new tab.
You are right, I see another username and his balance flash in the top right panel for a second.

*Cough Cough*, get out of Bitfinex ASAP. Warning signs are clear for now. Personally i switched to okcoin.com 3 weeks ago. i can't see leverage here. only 1:1
Change your account type to "Trader" from within your account options. Could BFX team please check if there are any issues with order placements. I just had series of orders executed via what looks like market orders, which I never do (I always use limit orders and did so this time). This resulted in much higher fees for me and wrong price. I've also had that popup window coming up as I was placing orders, mentioning that my order is "above available price", which I double checked and it was not. I was only able to discover that orders were executed at the wrong price, by looking at the history of latest trades.

Hmm... Maybe it only affects newly logged in users? I haven't logged out since yesterday and haven't experience it

Same here. That's good to hear. There is one user in the TV chat that says it's still happening for him. Damn... make that two.

I know, right? I'm feeling greedy, but can afford to wait for the next spike and correction.

It's called trying to catch a falling knife. Bitcoin has been falling hard and there is no sign of reversal. Why not to buy at 300 USD instead ?

It is difficult to time a bottom. Bitcoin may never get anywhere near 300..
