i guess in the 90s he told everyone that the internet will not succeed

Nah, he was talking about something much more Bitcoin-like:

But keep making fun of educated people & continue ignoring the tanking price, bulls!

The weekend Bitcoin hobbyists buying up "great deals" are idiots.

Monday morning in Japan in a few hours. Then China. Will be fun.

Yes, it seems its longterm success has washed away these last hours.

Bitcoin was done a long time ago.  What you're observing now is the market equivalent of applying electric shock to a dead frog--it sorta twitches & fools the rubes into believing that it's alive.

Were you my student?  Did I flunk you in CS 101 or something?
NO, I didn't follow your stupid class.
I bought this book instead:
http://www.amazon.com/Computers-For-Seniors-Dummies/dp/1118115538

OK, so you are Brazilian, that explains some things.

Now, how exactly you "didn't follow" my CS101 class? Did you drop out after the first lecture?  Were you a Drama or Philosophy student?  Did you apply to this university, but did not get in?  Did you flunk high school?

"Academic interest in E-mail only. Do not trust e-mail! Very skeptical of its longterm success."--Jorge Stolfi

This so called CS professor can't even handle e-mail.

This is just mindblowing.

I'm not Brazilian, I live in a country with real universities and real professors, not some shithole where they hire the first guy that walks in, to teach some kids computer science.
"If you want to sent an attachment, please call"

On the + side, I know how to handle my e-mail, should I send you my copy of the book?

Aren't you lucky that there is someone in this thread whom you can vent your frustration on when you see your investment do in 1 year what the dollar did in 100 years?

Glad to oblige.

PS. Only idiots keep their savings as currency.  I wonder if it is genetic?

According to "Professor" Stolfi, we will not, but he also said "WARNING: Do not trust e-mail!" and "several of my messages have been eaten by other people's spam filter."

So I'm a bit confused, wether he's capable to make those calls.

Why on earth would you think that I bought exactly one year ago? Are you really that great of a fool?

Even thought I've been bearish for a while (and still is) this constant smack-talk and bull-bashing is getting increasingly exhausting. It's hard to share opinions with a crowd that spend most of its time throwing stones and beating dead-horses.

I guess I'll be as annoyed in a few months/years when/if another bull market explode into a bubble and all bulls cheer each others and stampede bear-corpses like adolescents gathering around some animal to torture it. Damn you humanity.
