Yeah...

All that matters today is 200 holding

without great news? No way.

Something like a million coins changed hands over the frantic trading down to $150. Huge volumes. For it to go lower, presumably volumes would have to be higher still - and all the traders who thought they were getting the right price would have to change their minds.
If it happens, volume will need to be epic.

I got this email from SaxoBank yesterday

TITLE:  MARKET GAP in CHF

Dear Client,

Due to today’s exceptional market movement in CHF crosses, we have been filling client orders and positions in an extremely illiquid market.

Once we are better able to establish true market liquidity, all executed fills will be revisited, and will be revised and amended to more accurate levels. This may result in a worse execution rate than the originally filled level.

Yours sincerely‚
Saxo Bank

Inb4 Karpeles is Satoshi.
Bitcoin would go to 1 cent if this was true.
Everything makes sense now.

Karpeles made Bitcoin so he could launder his money through a online drug site. The site would grow popular due to its ability to not need a middle man, this would appeal to drug dealers, Karpeles target market. Next his site gets busted. He hires a frontman (Ross) to take the blame so he can work on plan B: Attack of the Willy bot. Using funds from SR and user
deposits he pumped BTC to 1200. Then he will cash out his funds and use that to deepen the rabbit whole. He would tip off newsweek to get crazy jorno's after Dorian Nakamoto while Karpeles Sataoshi escapes. He would play dumb so no one would expect him. He was an idiot fat kid, no one would suspect he was the master mind behind one of the most disruptive technologies ever.

yes.

also, the pump to 1200 started just after the silk road bust, I know because I bought a lot of those coins. Cheesy

he pumped the price to 1200, dumped all the missing coins from silk road and cashed out. he took all the money that users were depositing to their accounts. he didnt steal anything, because most were forced to convert their money to bitcoin in order to withdraw anything.

the end is scary> bitcoins are worthless and will be returned to their owners, karpeles keeps the money as a free man.  Cheesy

TL;DR:  You got nothing.  You make up "facts," and, when called on it, retort with "don't seem to be arguing in good faith."
Why not warn people about our uppity negro Obama letting filthy wetbacks put money in the same banks where white folks keep theirs?  Or is aztecminer doing a good job?  Why not warn them about 9/11 too, just to be an all-in-one libertard cliche?  Oh wait, BitChick's financial adviser from the nuthouse, rptiela or whatever his name, already got that covered.  Okay then, everything seems to be in order...

Have I missed anything ugaise?

I have a friend who is the CEO of a local bank and we were talking over Christmas Dinner about it. He complained that his FDIC premiums went up even though it's a very conservative bank with high lending standards but he was getting effectively punished because of misbehavior by other banks. The bank had to pay for the premiums by either taking it out of their profit margin or by increasing fees such as NSF charges.

Wait, you expect me to feel sorry for you friend, the bank CEO, rly?  Because his profits are down & he might take out his rage on his account holders?  Do you realize how insane that is?
What next, should I feel sorry for serial killers when prices of ammo go up?  Because they might get angry & shittier than they already are, thus doing more damage to mankind?

Quote
You are poisoning the well by lumping in real problems with conspiracy theories that I have never even mentioned and are completely irrelevant anyway. That's what I mean by arguing in bad faith.

No, I'm pointing out that a typical libertard is a delightful grab bag of paranoia, and that crazy comes here to lay eggs.

Inb4: "Ad hominem!!!1!"  Yes, exactly that.  I don't give the same credence to the economic assertions of paranoid schizophrenics as to those of folks who don't claim to be "a little tea pot, short and stout."  Call me crazy.

P.S.  My friend, who is the CEO of the world, tells me things are going glowingly.  Checkmate Cool

Dear Bitcoiner:
It's not the Bank part that's affected, it's the exchange.  Imagine if a Bitcoin exchange stopped filling your trades... oh, wait...

It doesn't make sense. Satoshi would also put someone in place to take the fall for MtGox. So Karpeles is just another Ross. Who was that canadian guy in the background again that wrote all the DPR texts?  Wink

definitely makes sense, only Mark would order double chocolate soy frappacino latte with cinnamon and nutmeg because they take 10 minutes to make in Japan and that is just long enough for a Bitcoin transaction to complete.

now we know the real reason behind the 10 minute block time - Mark's Starbucks habit.

If I recall exactly, we had the news of silk road bust followed by a crash from 130 $ to 90 $ or something, and immediately after that we started the run for 1000 $.

Discounting China's fictitious numbers, there are < 24k bitcoins listed on the exchanges. That means the market is leveraged against 14M BTCs at roughly 600:1. It's amazing what people believe when someone writes it down.
