The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Morning gents.   Kinda boring since the runup, just up and down until (boom) realization that the 50k auction is next Friday.

And then you realize nobody who buys at the auction does it do dump...

....

Just wanted to quote this bit of comedy for those who might be ignoring these two.

Funniest thing I've seen in ages.

Gotta give credit where it's due.

Lett me get this strait. You are intentionally exposing people to the writings of people you know are purposefully ignored? You are doing this because you know better what people want or ought to read than they know themselves?

It's a fucking anagram, you arrogant ass clown. Circumventing users control of their own experience is a shitty thing to do here of all places. You ought to know better.

It was just a joke, bro. Don't be so sensitve!

Speaking of which: my comment that I didn't like ChartBuddy has been deleted. He must have friends in high places too;D

BJA sensitive LMAO !!
He just LIKES to shout at people ! Especially women, as they are apparently the inferior sex with less grey matter  Grin
Oh, and anyone else that may mess with his bean count  Cheesy

Question for BJA ... who has more 'rights' ... women or 'ignorers' ?

EDIT: On another note, at the previous auctions, by this stage, we have had people openly saying they will/won't participate in the auction. I don't know how to interpret the silence on this one. I did wonder if the spike was caused by someone who knew something (either way would work ... P&D on low interest or just buying if there is larger interest). But then we have the Mega tweets, so I kinda ruled that out for now

Breaking 300$ soon?

I am buying now, it goes up and all the short can't get it down more than a few bucks. I predict a huge rise up in price Today or Tomorrow.

Noice.

$245 is about where I thought I'd draw the line yesterday between "minor retracement, upwards move has some staying power" and "we're probably going back to square one, i.e. $220" ... Holding above $250 is pretty damn good actually, more than I expected.

Trolls are expected to emerge again if and when we go back below that level (alternatively, < 1500 CNY). Until then, I expect them to be rather quiet - except for Lambchop and his alts of course, that guy is unstoppable Cheesy

Obama:  If only we could rid the world of the dumbest, greediest criminal element, without harming normal people...
CIA:  Mr. President, our secret research labs have finally perfected just such a weapon.  We call it ... Bitcoin.
Obama: Hahahahahahahahaha!  Make it so!

Obama:  Now we only need a name. The creator of Bitcoin, what could it be?
CIA: What are you thinking Mr. President? First thing that comes to your mind.
Obama: Gotta be something hilarious. "So a man took a shit". Make an anagram out of that. Go ahead lol
CIA: mmh... ... "Satoshi Nakamoto"?
Obama: hahaha you are a fucking genius!

This reminds me of the happy days of usenet and gnus. There, the standard answer was: Just write a piece of sufficiently intelligent emacs code to filter not only the trolls, but also the troll quotes (and posts that go against you with fatal success in general).

http://www.nasdaq.com/article/how-to-buy-bitcoin-from-a-bitcoin-atm-cm449490

The article, published by NASDAQ, ends with this hinting sentence:

Quote
But you know Bitcoin has arrived when you see one of Wall Street's most venerable institutions sinking money into it...

Does the ETF launch on monday?

Maybe they're referring to NYSE investing in Coinbase.

I was also thinking about NYSE's investment in Coinbase when I read the article. But NASDAQ published this yesterday. They are obviously not hinting about something that happened weeks ago. It's just a gut feeling from my part. Read the article and judge for yourself  Wink

Sadly for some, the world is often a more simple place than we want it to be. The NYSE is one of the most venerable institutions and they have sunk money into the BTC system. Ergo, one Wall St's most venerable institutions has sunk money into it.

Crazy supposition I know.

Confirming what Ramsay said: good to read your stuff in this sea of troll bile.

I guess fucking your mom technically does make me a motherfucker, but thank you for improving the level of discourse. I fixed it. Are you happy now? Oh wait, your..you'are...ah yer still waiting on sub $200 coins. No wonder y....yous...y'all are so grumpy. Gotcher coinz, Bitchez!

You're critique is so stale it only merits an ad hominem attack. The reason I never learned whatever tribal grunts is your native tongue is because I don't have to. English speakers rule the planet. And I'm drunk too soback at ya, you foreign fucking foreigner fuck.

I know, I wrote about that in the first sentence. My third sentence was this:

Quote
They are obviously not hinting about something that happened weeks ago.

To me, this is not about a NASDAQ writer ignoring "competitor" NYSE's investment in an article. It's about a gut feeling that he is hinting about something new. Yet, my gut feeling have proven to be very wrong before, ha ha  Cheesy
