Is this true?

-snip-
I just waited 3 days to be told this.  My Bank in the UK told me before Bitstamp did that raiffeisen bank are rejecting payments. So lord knows how long i will have to wait before i see my money again.
Simply AVOID Bitstamp. Not worth the hassle.
In the UK i am buying all my bitcoins from Bitbargain.
Some people are really ignorant and impatient if you ask me. I am going to disregard the possibilities of it being true or false. The problem is not Bitstamp, it is the Raiffeisen Bank. You can't blame Bitstamp for this.

I've always used Bitstamp and have never had a single problem with them.  Please tell me which exchange would reimburse the customers after a hack of 19k BTC?

Back to the price now. I wonder if we could stick to $240 as the bottom now. There is no reason to go back to $220.

Tell me what other exchanges except Gox got hacked by 19k+ BTC?

(Concrete proof please, not only rumors)

This. When I trade with more than 30btc I use stamp...Simply don't trust any other exchange enough.

I prefer OTC for large transactions. 30 BTC is big amount I can't afford to lose for "hack".

putting the two exchanges in any kind of correlation is a manipulative attempt to discredit bitstamp.

they dont owe anything to anyone. if you want to talk about debts let's talk about 30 millions of usd swaps on bfx.

Don't assume honesty and disclosure from the exchanges, I'm sure they've all been hacked but keep quiet about it.

Long term believe it or not the most reliable has been BTC-e

Probably because they launder Russian mafia money and they have a budget for possible hacking problems.

Exactly, because laundering only happens at BTC-e and nowhere else

There's been hundreds of millions of usd invested in bitcoin startups. I sometimes wonder if even one or two of these entities or their investors are using a few mil to stave off further declines. Not trying to run a rally all by themselves, but putting a floor, and at least sow some doubt in the minds of weak handed hodlers and shotrers.

Yeah but those start-ups are not only for bitcoin but for crypto currencies as a whole. Even if bitcoin won't be the new world currency, another crypto will and those companies will just adjust. Also exchanges makes money whatever the price is.

Laundering is happening everywhere but Btc-e is the best spot for Russian/Bulgarian gangs. Very easy to hide behind fake id's.

Why do you need bank account? You will buy Bitcoin with dirty money. You don't need bank account to buy Bitcoin.

As soon as Bitcoin starts to drop the shit coins start dropping faster though. Someone commented that shorting litecoin was like printing money yesterday. Shitcoins are a high risk investment and get dumped fast once bitcoin starts going back down. Some of the bitcoins getting dumped yesterday were probably from people who made a profit on shitcoins and decided to lock their profits in.

There is a suspicion that the Coinwallet.eu "stress test" is actually a scam:

I believe we have our first scammer organizing a Bitcoin stress test

Shorts back up to 21k. 5-6k opened below 250 and will fold with the slightest buying pressure.
