Jorge has successfully identified enough BTC scams over the years to warrant respect.

Thanks! But you are giving me too much credit.  Most of the time, I have been just one of the early critics...
I choose not to ignore you, because you sometimes dig up interesting info.
But your last info/link was a page 2 old reddit/r/bitcoin post.
Usually, it's like that.

I don't trust you. I know you lie about your motive. It's not academic interest.

AND I HATE TO LIVE IN A SOCIETY MANIPULATED BY POLITICAL/FINANCIAL PROPAGANDA!

Our freedom of speech is at risk as long as these paid fucking assholes try to interfere our dialog.

I don't think you are honest about your basic motives regarding bitcoin. I'm a 44 year old nuclear physics-guy.

Is there some sort of causality I'm missing here?

Jorge has successfully identified enough BTC scams over the years to warrant respect. Sadly, there will continue to be scammers as long as BTC attracts happy-clappy noob idiots who think they are financial geniuses.
I disagree with Jorge on most things wrt bitcoin, but he has more sensible stuff to say than the average poster.  I am glad he is on the forum, despite his pessimistics BTC view.

Same here. Its healthy to have people with opposing ideas, for that is what can help grow. Now if Jorge were to start posting my little ponies BS...well he would lose credibility with me then.

dips on the five minute chart keep getting smaller. In spite of the dropping volume and the time of day/week,  think it's fixin' to pop higher. I hope not. I want to reload from my sell @  $157 on June 16.

I’m still waiting for my LogLog-Chart. Would be really interesting to know where price should be today.

What scam Jorge managed to bust Huh

I only see him posting here in speculation and in off topic sometimes, but not in marketplace, and I see no reference about busted scams in his trust.

Unless you meant something else when you say he busted scams Huh

Jorge, always here to cheer us up! You must throw fantastic parties during carnival in Brazil!  Grin

I helped organize a couple of them when I was a Ph. D. student in the US.  But the Brazilian Students Association was so popular that the president was from Portugal.  So that does not add much to my resumé, I am afraid.

Well Jorge, what you say does not make tactical sense. So, I believe it's actually true!
But you must admit, you always come to the party with a sad face. I was sarcastic in my previous post.

I don't think you are honest about your basic motives regarding bitcoin. I'm a 44 year old nuclear physics-guy.

Still, I remember you melted and was actually ironic about yourself some posts ago.

I still don't trust your motives, I still think you lie about what makes you scan the Internet harder than google, looking for the word "bitcoin" and a negative slant, lol.

I also know that trolling as propaganda doesn't work Wink

EDIT: Shit, I use the word "I" and "still" too much. (Like Donald Trumph in his campaign.)

Actually, Jorge has been oddly constructive lately. I don't know what's happened. Maybe some first year student has "inspired" him to cheer up. Or maybe he bought at the bottom and is waiting to BUY A BOAT!!!

It's his thread so he defines what's clean, good and wholesome.

In fact, anyone who disagrees with him is a filthy troll.

Jorge has always provided a different perspective without trolling. I think most people appreciate his commentary even if they disagree with the content. I still don't believe that he is a bystander only and doesn't own any coins like his signature proclaims.

I was looking at the entire bitcoin price chart, kindly provided by some posts here, and I realized... there are two ways one can present it or look at it.

As a failure...                                                                            or success.

I chose to see success.

If it goes 250 again in the next 24-48 hours, I would assume that it will be on the success chart but not not that kind of speculation I assume. It might go bumpy first before reaching back to the best peak.

I chose to see success.

If we want back in time, to 2012 and we said to bitcoiners:

Would you be happy with

2013: 40-60$
2014: 140-180$
2015: 220-300$

...etc, everybody would be "HEEELLLL YEAAAHHH"

The only reason why there is even a slight perception of failure, is because people have seen higher prices in the past, even if these were created artificially. If price was going up gradually and organically, this wouldn't have happened and all bitcoiners would be happy / there would be no room for "bears".

I think Jorge wants to not believe in Bitcoin but subconsciously recognizes that it is likely one of the most important events of the 2010s and probably 2020s also. Some people just can't help being in the right place at the right time despite their greatest efforts Smiley
