All exchanges have false volume ...
The emperor has no clothes. Never did. Though dwelling on on his nakedness isn't life-affirming.
Let us never speak of this again.

Will be interesting to see what happens if gemini takes a large market share from the scam exchanges that engage in fraudulent and suspicious behavior.

Maybe they'll have to recruit a couple of special friends to turn up the volume to stop themselves from looking like dick heads. Life is quiet at present.

Alright. Silly sausages.

I respect the fact that they came out with a working product that hits plenty of marks. If they don't get the custom within the next few months and years it's not going to reflect well on all the noise they've been making.

Their definately not dick heads. A dick head has some value. It can make babies. These two scumbags can't accomplish anything on their own so they need to steal it from other people. Here's what they have accomplished so far.

Hired top experts (including their father who taught at Wharton) to do an appraisal of Facebook.

Based on the appraisal, they settled for $65 million, which has now turned into $160 million.

They refused to pay their lawyers and sued them for malpractice.

They lost an arbitration and owe those lawyers $13 million, which they have not paid.

After agreeing to the Facebook settlement, they sued again for more (aiming for $600 million).

In the same breath, they claim they are suing for moral reasons, which if true, is not at all believable.

As soon as the appellate ruling was read, they did not accept it and vowed to pursue further litigation.

They invested in BitInstant and lost their money when the company folded because one of the principles of the company was involved in illegal activity which they probably knew was happening.

As Forbes Kerry Dolan says , "In real life the Winklevoss twins don't come off as well as they do in the movie... To me, they just come across as spoiled greedy kids."

I hope they get raped with an rowing oar.

I'm becoming more and more convinced the only legitimate use-case for Bitcoin is as a means of exchange on the darknet. The rest of us are just kind of confused parasites (or worse).

Well, I think you're lovely.

I'd agree in the sense that darknet is the one and only thing to you can point to and say it's something crypto can do that nothing else can.

There's no shortage of other uses where I think it's better than existing systems but it demands that the rest of the world sit up and start making use of it. For example I bought a pal of mine a coffee in Tblisi while I was relaxing in my y fronts at home. It would've taken a week or so for that money to filter through by conventional means.

Yep, micro payments and deep web payments (for people that know how to use it safely) are where bitcoin shines.

Finally some exciting things coming to the Bitcoin Ecosystem. Bullish on BTC + BTS. OpenLedger currently consists of CCEDK in Denmark, BunkerShares in Canada, and Banx Capital in Great Britain – all networked together on the BitShares platform, which is powered by Cryptonomex Graphene technology. By using the Graphene toolkit, crypto companies are able to develop applications, operate existing cryptocurrency exchanges or services on top of the IT.

Question:
Is Gemini failing because it's Bitcoin's antithesis--regulated, safe, legal, etc., or is it really a success, and other exchanges are just facades of fake volume?
False dichotomy?
Discuss!

Bitcoin failed because you trolled it to shits.

Go join the big leagues. Go troll obamacare to shits while you're at it. Or oxfam. Your raw talent at being a dickhole can really take you places. Maybe you could be the first lib dem prime minister?
