We were sitting at $230 for a long time. It was bound to rise eventually.

By not going down in price any further for so long it's probably giving people more confidence in it.  Not only that but the ridiculous fake bubble created by the manipulation on Gox had to finish bursting before another can begin.  (it's just under the previous ATH of course, so still going up in the long term).  The Gox/Silk Road bad news is also becoming history and bitcoin itself of course hasn't gone away.

^ Meh. Guess you know for sure the forum / population has changed when a (relative) newcomer account blocks (justified or not, doesn't matter) a bunch of posters that have been here from day one.

Kind of reminds me of when my grandmother served me some cake she made without sugar. It was a healthy cake, for sure. I just couldn't see the point.

I don't think you need to generalise, I personally just can't stand the utter naïvity of some libertarians, even though they've been around for long. Fatman3001 has a point tho. I'll uningore some people.

Why is this happening?

Well,  why would people buy up the order book and use their money to prop up the order book..  If they were 'investing'

It's happening because there's a chance to make money off the fish
Like it always happens!

for someone who has been here from day one billyjoeallen is probably as clueless as they come so I wouldn't even blame newbies for ignoring him.

MOderators, etc have been pretty good, recently at removing various trolling accounts - accordingly there appears to be less reasons to ignore a bunch of posters.

Of course, sometimes it could be helpful to ignore posters who you know are disingenuous in their posts, but I personally find it much easier to just skim rather than ignore because every once in a while, even disingenuous posters will provide some decent/informative content.

indeed. when I saw a thread here few days ago in this section calling for 250 I knew where we were heading.

everybody knew. that calls for a nice dump from here. bitsamp 49 bot is the signal.

I get more positive again when we go above 300 but I probably don't 'get excited' until I see 1000 USD coins again. I think we could see maybe 500-600 USD coins next summer as a result of the halving which will be good for all of us.

what makes me excited are all signals pointing to the end of the bearmarket. 260 and 340 are the levels I am watching.

500-600$ coins would be very nice for all who bought in the 200s Smiley

Have a look at the subreddit if you want to see the XT crew literally hurting and panicking that other scalability solutions are progressing, undermining their efforts to enforce 8GigaByte blocks and node de-anonymising code.

It's kind of fun to see.
