If support at $3770 doesn't hold, then further downside to go.

Looks like it could be the start of a new cycle - but lets see what longer time frames reveal on the charts- don't jump the gun just yet

Who sold at the bottom?

Come on, calling it so early? There's still a little way to go IMO.

BTW - I didn't. I spent a ridiculous amount of my fiat that was waiting for THE dip. Some more is waiting just in case this was just a pre-dip (not so ridiculously much though).

Yes, calling the bottom (or the top) is a pointless exercise. Better to be buying on the way down (or selling on the way up), but a little at a time and careful for quick reversals.

Looking at weekly BBands it is easy to see if price breaks support at $3600 we are headed down to the weekly 20 MA at $3000. Last time the weekly 20 MA was tested it was a good time to buy.

Many guys here want to buy more btc dip!
(i just sent a great amount to kraken, I will buy at every price below 3900USD)
the support is real, the society is using and accepting BTC and the crypto currencies!
everybody of us know it, the support is real and there is no bubble!

The users growing isn't linear

https://bitcoinblog.de/2014/07/14/bitcoin-in-zahlen-rasantes-aber-asynchrones-wachstum/

And this fact is reflecting in the price!
the growth is more than a linear curve!
be ready for at least 8kusd per btc in 2018
best wishes

In the news:

So bottom line would be "self regulation" ?
No more than a slap in the face, so far.

Everyone keeps saying bitcoin is a bubble but its outside forces that are hurting the price. Fake news at its strongest.

...I still am not going to give a whole hell-of-a lot of weight to how much emphasis you seem to be giving to lines on a chart.

Remember that "lines on a chart" are formed by traders, the most influential of which read charts. So it's a feedback loop which is why they have such an effect.

People who buy on fundamentals to long term invest are not usually daytrading so they only have a momentary effect on the market. Otherwise, the price is driven by the small amount of coin supply that sits on exchanges and gets traded (according to chart interpretations).

That's why they can be a mathematical "inevitability". If there's a significant crossover then traders sell - because they know that every other seasoned daytrader is reading that same signal and acting upon it. Doesn't matter about fundamentals because they get priced in long term.

Fair enough.

We each said our part, and surely the readings of some predictors, based on charts is better than others - and I have also seen historically that we have seen a lot of these kinds of predictions coming through this thread that have been wrong, too.

I am not changing my buy orders too much because I continue to perceive that we could have a reversal at any time.
