Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Someone yesterday on LedgerX bought $1 million dollar worth of $50,000 Dec 2018 Call options.

About 275 contracts. Hence someone thinks it will go at least >$53,600.

everything is crashing. About time too, previously (last year or so) this has meant BTC is near a bottom. bottom could still be a few thousand off though.

It's not only about fees, it is about network congestion. I am hodling, but I hope every day for them to announce a blocksize increase as a temporary fix while we keep waiting for a working LN fully deployed. A small blocksize increase that we would need anyways even IF LN was already in place.

And no, for whomever is thinking so: BCH crapcoin is no solution... if Bitcoin fails ALL the crypto castle will crumble.

I'm for a blocksize increase to 2mb (not 8mb, as it was done by BCH). However, this was already planned for SegWit. If it was implemented, fees would be smaller.

It seems they are preparing the network for the coming of big institutional investors, who will move only large ammounts of money. For them, high fees will look small.

If Im not mistaken, LTC have SegWit by default. You dont need to mess with the console to use it.

not near enough, a pittance yes

I am not even joking though, this is a VERY healthy development.  Finally we get a pullback almost worthy of the name, I was starting to get a little worried that this thing was getting overheated.

Everybody set your chart to log scale, pull out to 3 day candles and chill the fuck out.

Everything is crashing, ripple is up 50%. As much as I know ripple is a bankster coin. Looks like huge market manipulation to me.

Ive read on Facebook that they are planning to drop all coins and push ripple on par with 1$ to make it the global digital currency. But too early for that.
