What is going on with Bitstamp ? Aren't they reporting anything for the past ~4 hours or was their trading engine really down ?

Bitstamp is tired with craziness of gox, Europeans don't have that much buying power I guess.
Also arbitrage with gox is nearly impossible on the short run so no one bothers rallying

https://www.bitstamp.net/ - scroll down - you see the live trades there.  Its working Smiley

ps gox has less BTC asks (7.8K) then bitstamp(7.9K)!
Thats a first?
And the definite end for gox!

The difference between Stamp and Gox is still 8-9%, which is pretty typical.

Wow, nice spot.  Gox really is finished even with the introduction of Litecoin.

Possibly being the second biggest us dollar exchange (probably still the biggest) doesn't sound like it finished!

Dat Chinese weekend volume.  They're starting to run away with the Bitcoins..

Funny how rapid things can change when China has 4x+ the US population.

You are familiar with their position on WoW gold?
I am not, please elaborate.
Encouraged...
They even made prisoners play Warcraft to sell the gold.
Here's an article about the Jixi labor camp.
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/may/25/china-prisoners-internet-gaming-scam

The US classifying Bitcoin in the same category as WoW gold was a green light to them.

This is horrific Sad

yeah, poor criminals, they were forced to play WoW  Cry Cry

Everybody are waiting for monday, I would not sell and maybe not even buy in this situation =)

Before I knew of it, I sold some on Friday, hoping for a week-end retraction, that never came. Instead I got a rally on my neck and the price if $40 ahead of where I sold! I think I'll just weather it out, having buy and sell orders on both sides of the extremes.

its really somthing handing somone 450$ for a bitcoin
i gave a few away to friends and family back in the 5-20$ days
they hand me the coin ( its one of my brass physical coin wallet ) and I count the green in-front of them, its impressive!  Cheesy

I make some money, they make some money, and they start to understand what a bitcoin really is.

I was talking to my friends daughter about bitcoin for the first time ( i dont see these poeple very often.... ) she's young and smart and I didn't have to say very much, she understood right away why this thing is bigger then anyone can possibly imagine. bitcoin will transcend generations!

GOOOO BITCOIN!  Grin
