What are the chances that JWST would detect at least high oxygen at any of it's planetary targets or even evidence of Dyson spheres, perhaps (much less likely)?
If nothing indicating life's presence would be detected, the chances would grow even stronger that there are no tech civilizations in the vicinity (at least).
IMHO, JWST would compensate for the paucity of discoveries (after Higgs) on LHC and give us something really interesting.
It should be fun to follow.

I still think that bitcoin is about to bounce hard, but not going to risk buying options, just hodling.

I'm not convinced Dyson spheres are really possible, but if one existed, wouldn't it be impossible to see it from a distance ?

Yup, he was done a few weeks ago after the bad performance in the confidence vote.

One thing I will say about British politics is that things move fast. I think there is much more pressure because of the media here.

In many European countries they take like a year to form a government. That never happens here. But there are also fewer political parties to vote for usually. Not that I will be voting again. They are all quite terrible at the moment.

Johnson isn't a saint and quite a buffoon at times sure. I firmly disagree with the green policies, the intense support for Ukraine which is a losing war regardless of how many weapons you send over there.
At the same time all these assholes resigning and talk about integrity are also fucking hypocrites. If someone at my work makes mistakes I don't just throw him/her under the bus as soon as things look bad. Quite the opposite of integrity I would say.
