I can't believe I held on. I actually won over my less prudent self.

I think it helped to be on this forum. Holding out for another month.

No offense. But why hold? You could have sold @ 500-600 Euro (top was 900 Euro) and rebuy @ 320-350 Euro!
Much profit! So easy. Just place bids and wait for the panic sellers.

BTW:
We will go down at least 1 more! So don't cry if you rebuy now (after you sold below the actual price) and we drop again to a new low.

I agree. Bitcoin will not be bitcoin anymore without the frequent ups and downs.

First:

Read the news -> the sources
Don't give a fuck about bitcointalk speculation talk! -> 99% pigs with no clue
If you trade: trade with a strategie or a bot (with a self written algorithm)

I couldn't predict this bottom exactly. That's why my 200-300 Euro bid orders didn't get filled.
The top was fairly easy to guess (+/- 50 Euro).

My trades the last few days:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=373181.msg4038895#msg4038895

A few were not really good, but overall the performance is ok.

Second:
Never go all-in or all-out! NEVER!
Don't buy in large chunks (compared to your portfolio) @ the same price
Be patient. Don't panic trade!

you know that Bitcoin will skyrocket when there is so many bears here...

Clever bears allready rebought.
Only stupid bulls turning to late bear are going to be buying in at a loss.

It's allways the same.. Dellusion and Fear...and Panic selling/buying.

New money coming on Stamp, in rally mode.
Meanwhile china is rallying painfully..like $80-$100 difference from stamp, that's worrying for the short term future..

even with China without a cash flow into the exchange there is some progress, I would guess that the price should drop even more, but I think that the negative trend is done...

well I 'guessed' we'd take a dive after 1200 before we reached it, sold at 1190 and I had a buy at 456 after the recent china news but I never follow through since it's not really based on anything - bought and sold many times during the drop reacting to crap on the forum and chart movement so didn't make much from it.

I think that can be the biggest mistake one could possibly make, considering that posting on the forum is usually an emotional behaviour to different stimuli. I think you're better off not reading or maybe doing the exact opposite of the feelings you get while reading here, when trading.

"Finally, we have all seen the highs and lows of the price of bitcoins lately. Don't be alarmed by this. Fluctuations in price have been a reflection of uncertainty in China and will recover and stabilize with time. In the U.S. the authorities have taken a much kinder stance on Bitcoin, and investors have responded by beginning to enter the market. 2014 will be the year of Bitcoin as large investment firms begin entering the Bitcoin space en masse."
