Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

*wake up see that there's been 30 pages added to this thread*

"oh fuck, something's happened."

Balls of steel is the term.

I, personally, would be happy for all the get-rich-quickers to leave us alone.

Coins worth hundreds of dollars is enough for me. Once again, I doubt I will ever sell my BTC. I will only spend them if and when I can.

Don't worry, I think it's mostly get-poor-quickers left.

Well, at least we know that it won't drop more than $250 from here.

Bear head Tzupy, you also felt some filthy movement on the market, don't you?

Wind will change sooner than expected?

It is good to see that bitcoin fundamentals are present, so there will be a bottom, from which price should rise.
But there wasn't enough red volume yet to say "this was THE bottom", the question is just about the amplitude of this DCB.

Is the low price because of all of the Ponzi mining companies finally coming to their natural end?
