But I agree that bet in the long term success of BRL is madness

Well, only idiots invest in currencies for the long term.

I keep a nice stash of BTC for my future travels.

News like what is coming out of Europe is GREAT.

I'd rather hold BTC for a month or two backpacking trip than the Euro at this point.

I can keep most my BTC at home and only keep a tiny bit on me.

I bet we see $340 really really soon.  Grin

A week maybe too soon for that hapening. I would say atleast 3-4 weeks before we see over 250 again .

It's the Greece vote and finally QE from ECB.

Fear of currency instability and a new banking / bonds collapse in 2015.

Watch gold too. It's the canary in the coalmine....

BTC will benefit in the same way IMHO.

We stay over 225 in any case by end of Sunday, bullish.

Fear sets in and we could see a run like we haven't seen in a long, long time.

Fingers crossed.

What did you expect, Bitcoin to stay trendy forever?  The cool kids moved on, just this flotsam and jetsam left behind to milk the thing.
No different from any other fad/burnt-down scam.

I heard from a little bird Coinbase was re-upping for 256 days worth of coins.

No clue if true, but would be great.

3 Major Billboards on major shit in SF now as well for Braintree_Paypal.

Something is going on big.

Hadn't actually considered how much all these new businesses need to stock-up on BTC to maintain liquidity. Nice steady buy orders. Who wants to dump a load of fiat and drive up their buys? That's an inherent BTC floor of sorts. What level it sits at is the question. Maybe the miners are the key to that question.

EUR/BTC breaking out.. things could get very interesting if syriza gets into power in greece.. euro collapse, bank runs.. loss of faith in the euro perhaps? Cheesy

Nah not a collapse yet, they're just saying that to scare people so they don't vote for them. Can't have anyone challenge the status quo after all..

well ssyriza is ahead in 6 different polls by 3-10%.. what the fuck do they care if the euro crashes cos they wont be using it anymore lol if the euro continues to fall, the danish peg might get broken too which would lead to further mayhem.. greece could lead the eu down a nasty road which could lead to loss in faith in the euro.. chain reaction.. not that i have a clue whats really going to happen.. Cheesy

Not going to happen though...

why dont you think it will happen? i assume you mean greece leaving the euro.

The "smaller" dumps over the last hours and days don't really seem to affect the price. It is more resilient than I've seen in the last months. It really feels different this time, doesn't it?
