Happy for those litecoin-guys but everyone knows how this is going to end...
Its like follow the leader (whales) like some brainless sheeps. And then whales abandon the ship and the sheeps are trapped. Just like Dash. -10% today. Nice

The FUD news of this week (prepare for 100% FUD) -India bans Bitcoin -SEC denied Solid X ETF -Miners planning an attack on bitcoin when they reach 51% BU blocks -Altcoins keep pumping so more kapital leaves btc -BU keeps increasing -CORE blocks keep decreasing -exchanges prepairing for a hardfork -BTC crypto dominance keeps decreasing -Litecoin's volume is almost 50% of bitcoin's volume Looks like haters have infinite FUD guys.. BU UNLIMITED = FUD UNLIMITED. Haven't you heard? It's what's for dinner!

Please tell me how i can insert a image from paint into bitcointalk Upload it to Imgur which'll customise links for you. I think you may not be able to post images that show up until your activity levels goes up. Put up a link, get someone more wizened to quote it and it'll appear.

the future is uncertain ( for the weak hands) ^^ . Bitcoin wont fork. Litecoin = pump&dump BTC != pump&dump ?? XAU != pump&dump ?? The thing people refer to as "punp'n'dump" is that altcoin pumps last shortly Does that term refers only to altcoins?

Are u saying BTC is from history now! or maybe its litecoins time like other coins did Litecoin is going to see significant gains before BTC goes to full bull mode again, this movement today is just a test drive. A signal to all as to what's to come. Sitting at .006ish currently, but targets could be anything upwards of .03-.05 and beyond, esp if segwit starts sailing.

Probably because they can and there are a ton of litecoin bagholders waiting to cash out. Look at the weekly chart, these litecoin pumps happen about once a year and are getting weaker a sign that there are fewer long term holders each pump.

The reason Litecoin went up because they will likely start trading on Coinbase soon.
The LTC price has been about $4 for about 4 years now with only minor fluctuations now and then. They are probably more stable compared to the dollar than most currencies in the world yet the naysayers would probably make up some other excuse as to why nobody should use it (like how people say Bitcoin can never be used because the price fluctuates too much...yet bitcoin is used much more than litecoin).
*disclaimer: I may or may not have 1k litecoins on a computer somewhere

I sold a lot of LTC 3 years ago around $12, so it is still way down. It was much higher than that even before.

no, it's totally natural, because l33tcoin is btc without FUD and tricks. in fact i've been accumulating some from a while just because of the FUDstorm in btc -and I will hodl them too.

IMO, the actual sideways market can be explained with the following two assumptions:
- There is no inmediate fork risk as the support growth for Bitcoin Unlimited stalled, and the remaining Bitcoin pools are very unlikely to change to BU. So it would be very difficult for BU even to reach 50% of the hashrate, and 75% seems almost impossible. - But as the debate is not solved, there isn't fresh money flowing into BTC as long term usage/price potential is bound to a scaling solution - be it on-chain or off-chain (with Segwit).
There is a triangle closing tomorrow (bearish highs and sideways-to-bullish lows), but it's a bit irregular so I don't know if there will be any impact. Best bet is not to risk anything now.
