Its only a matter of time before people are talking about MBTC or Satoshi's inspite of GBTC. I think she missed the boat bigtime when she wanted 1 GBTC for $1 . I think nobody around here bought BTC at $1, at least not on this forum.

They're definitely out there. It really wasn't that long ago. Whether any of them actually managed to hang on to them until now is another matter.

When I first learnt of it in 2009 it didn't technically have a price. Did I do anything about it at the time? Nope. Otherwise I'd be paying someone else to type my droolings. It sounded interesting then it slipped my mind for a few years.

They're definitely out there. It really wasn't that long ago. Whether any of them actually managed to hang on to them until now is another matter. Thats right. There werent any hardware wallets around back then I heard. I was talking with some other guys about Bitcoin about 4 years ago. But I was a unbeliever back then. I taught muh people pay for digital 'tokens' and they makers run away with the money. After that Gox happened ( 100% coincidence ofc) but It was the first time I took a look at Bitcoin price chart. I was thinking loool I was right and its a scam and its completely dead. A couple years after that I started to do some research about Bitcoin and it really changed my mind. So went fully madman and stepped in with all the fiat I got. The reward is good since then. Still glad I did. This is still happening today, not a exchange this time but this time its the miners that are the 'bad guys'. Also the govement was the villain for some time. We are running out of villains. Who will be next? I expect a bankcoin or something like that. A forced centralized bank-goverment crypto.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=388169.0This thread always gives some perspective. Lots of people around here seem to enjoy sneering at anyone who sold at $1 but hindsight is always 20/20. If you'd paid less than 1c and it was still very possible it was going to turn to dust then the temptation to make bank would've been too much for most. If I'd been active in 2011/12 though I don't think I would've folded.

If I'd been active in 2011/12 though I don't think I would've folded. Interesting thread, I am going to read trough it fully tonight. Man I wish that I wasnt so damn sceptical about Bitcoin 4 years ago. I still wonder how you guys are not frustrated or mad that so many coins went to shit. I am still mad that I ruined 2 coins while Bitpop had around 1000 BTC. Someone help that dude, first he lost his BTC and after that he's fully supporting ETC in a 1 man army against ETH on bitcointalk. I also saw somebody on this forum (I think he's stil very active in Africoins thread) who's monero was hijacked (around300 000 XMR. ) I probably went fully apeshit when somebody stole all my BTC lol. But threads like this will help people understand why some people are such die hard hodlers. It would be a horror story when Bitcoin crashes to dust at the end of the line and we all end up with 0 while you worked your stash up in all those years . But I feel that I need to take this risk like I did 1 year ago. From all the people I know in real life I only know 1 more dude that knows something about Bitcoin and has a couple of coins. The rest of the people are still in that ''its a scam'' phase or '' I dont trust it''. Well I dont trust some paper with a number on it that says how much that paper is worth. Bullshit.

How many bitcoins must one currently hold, as a citizen of a first world country, to be exited about the bitcoin price (movements)?
Of course, there is no "must" when it comes to this kind of a thing, and even in the "first world" there is a considerable amount of variance in income and in how much someone might have available to invest. if you are feeling fairly bullish about bitcoin, then holding 10% of your quasi-liquid investments in bitcoin could be a good thing.. and maybe for some people that could be up to 10 bitcoins, but they might not get rich in the shorter term with 10 bitcoins, so maybe 100 would be a better target.. even though 100 might be too difficult to achieve for some people, especially if they are just entering into BTC and 10 might be more realistic. Well there is a bitcoin knighthood price ranges. I don’t remember exactly what it was but it started with someone having 21 satoshi being a farmer or something and went to 210 satoshi 2100 satoshi up to 2100 satoshi or something. That rank always had me cracked up because it was funny explanations near it The 21 is interesting too - because a person could aspire to have 21 BTC (which is 1/1millionth of the total BTC) or 2.1 or .21.. or some other lower variation, as you mentioned.

Excuse me for interrupting with a wall observation but the 416 coin ask wall at Stamp caught my attention. Seems someone really wants to keep the price under $1200.
Eaten or pulled?

It was much easier to mine them than buy them.

A guy repaired my computer whose average buy in was 13c. I assume back in those days it was done on the OTC channel or whatever the period equivalent. I also remember reading on here about someone moaning on there because no one would sell to them. Another seller took pity on them and gave them 2000 BTC.

Just observed another 400 coin ask wall added to the other at Stamp.
Someone really wants to keep the price under $2100.
Edit: And like that it's pulled.
