The CME announcement was after banking had closed in Asia. I would expect a Monday uptick.
Meanwhile the Coinmarket Cap price is up 2% daily and we are sitting around like a bunch of mopey teenagers.
Without getting into the politics of it, is someone able to provide a snapshot of what the tax cuts in the Republican tax bill are? I am a foreigner so have no direct interest but wonder whether any of it might impact bitcoin. For example, are there changes to CGT treatment.

Remember six consecutive ChartBuddy posts? Those were the times.
I slowly grew to hate Chartbuddy because I thought someone had actually posted something. So has anyone here actually treated themselves to anything after passing an arbitrary milestone? I took my wife out to dinner last night to the best steakhouse in town. They asked if we were celebrating anything. I put "celebrating Bitcoin hitting $10,000" on the online reservation system. I also mentioned this to everyone that asked us. Not one person knew what the hell I was talking about. Sigh

By the time it hits half a million, fully HALF the people you talk to will have heard about it, and a quarter of them might even own a thousandth of a bitcoin

A healthy correction is expected to happen in the next 48hs, don't panic Probably back testing the $10,000 line but then from the upper side downwards My totally unproven meta dartboard method predicts between 8200 - 8500€, so just above or slightly below 10k USD. But it was for today, so a day extra going sideways will probably lift it a bit.

Bought the missus a brand new car and paid off half the mortgage. What is weird is that with the BTC I have left and the recent price rises I now have more fiat value than before I sold a portion of BTC. As Jimbo would say “Go Bitcoin Go”.

So has anyone here actually treated themselves to anything after passing an arbitrary milestone?
I can't spend on my 1 BTC i want it intact. When i get money from other things then i'll splash out on some garlic bread because i'm on a power save for my trip to asia When I made my first Bitcoin $1mCAD, I splurged and bought myself a nice little Gallen-Kreuger bass amp. Cost me about $1.2kCAD. I bought it with dollars though. There's no way I'm parting with even a single satoshi unnecessarily. I personally think John Macafee's dick is safe. BTCBTCheading on up to $13,OOO/$15,OOO($20,000>) by new years :-D weeee

(twice this week actually) Apparently crashes are msm newsworthy for Joe-Public-bitcoin-not-a-clue ... mooning is not.... go figure. EDIT... actually I take that back. my brother just sent me a text stating and I quote... "hey i just heard bitcoin is gonna be worth a million$ in 2020!!!" I do hope that headlines like this are not the only way to make people aware of bitcoin, but then again in this day and age? maybe not...

Yeah it's pretty quiet. Yawn.....
During the rally past $10k this place was so busy it was like there was a dDOS attack. You'd have to hit refresh a dozen times just to get a message that there were a dozen new posts while you were posting. By the time your post made it through, it was already obsolete. Now there's an hour between posts? Yawn. I think WO page growth was faster in Nov '13. It was impossible to keep up. Or maybe being semi-retired just makes it easier
