So let's say I have more than 10 BTC and less than 20.  (cost basis around $600)

Two women in my office have watched me go nuts all year with the price increases.  I wish they bought in, but like most, they just feel like it's appreciated too much, and it's too late for them to get in.  Plus they don't have as much extra cash just lying around.

I thought of giving them a paper wallet for Xmas with some BTC in it, and thought $100 apiece was generous.  If I gave them both .01 BTC, I'm just wondering -- do I seem too cheap since it's such a small part of my stash?  I mean, I don't want to part with any of it, and now their gift is worth $130.

Normally I'd spend like $25 on them.  Not close close friends, just good work friends.  

What's my play here.

Give them the usual gift, and perhaps account for possibility of some deflation by giving 20% extra.  Don't give them 4x extra.  They don't deserve it, unless perhaps they are going to blow you.  (one by one of course - would have to get two out of this not a team effort).   

You are wrong on that one. In this issues team effort is more valuable than one by one. It's one of those rare cases in which 1 + 1 > 2

Based on this older post https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7fe0ax/rumor_hedge_fund_whales_to_buy_this_weekend_to/?sort=new and some newer tweeter/slack/telegram posts, it seems that some hedge whales were testing bitcoin price on coinbase in both directions (-20% to +20%) in 24 hours. They calculated how much $/BTC is needed to spend to reach certain % at the end of each working day (on the average of coinbase, gemini, kraken and bitstamp). Let's hope we will not see 4 digit price next weak and BTC will overcome these wallstreet noobs!

Is possible to see if new users are actually withdrawing their coins from bithumb, etc... to keep them with their own wallet? This would be the bullish news

Well you could check the order book depth if you had a Bithumb account.  But that doesn’t tell you coins held on exchange that are not committed to an ask.

In other words, we have a kind of confirmation of the bull market and that bears are getting R3ckt  - however, they trying to act like they have some future vision of DOWN... but we continue to see Up, and UP and MORE UP.

new users do not know what a bitcoin 'wallet' is, or anything about how the network works or its history. its just another asset on an axchange like a stock. this is all a trade on various levels. Nobody is using btc as a currency.

I want to know that sooner or later you are going to be correct in your desperate predictions of DOWN....

Maybe after we get to $40k, you are going to be correct that bitcoin prices come crashing down.. perhaps greatly, even spikes of 80%, perhaps.. that would still be a crash to about $8k-ish, no?...
