is this available online? looks like could be from blockchain.info?

I periodically import the data from bitcoincharts.com into a Libreoffice spreadsheet and play around with it.

Nice. Don't hesitate to post here periodically (I'd say).

Bitcoin will be trading at 10K this time next year.

No it won't. Wanna bet 100BTC?

It would be good if everyone who makes wild speculations regarding bitcoin where faced with that bet, perhaps there would be less rubbish and more sense in the community!

It's particularly funny it's rpietilla offering the bet.

Lol, he didn't take the "300k by the end of the year" bet Cheesy

Yeah, what the hell, why is he betting against 10k for a year from now? haha

Maybe he thinks it will be higher than 10k.

No, I think in 12 months it likely is less than $10k:
- 12 months ago it was $10 and now it is $200 so a 20-bagger
- To reach $10k it would have to go up 50x. Not impossible by any means (from pizza to June2011 high is 13000-bagger  Grin in 12 months). But I think the probability is less than 50% which makes me eager to take this side of a bet.

To retain some credibility for a bull, I will be revising the $300k long term figure up, once I estimate, how high it should be revised.

Only 2 EW sub-sub-waves were available for 'slow up', and IMO we are at the end of the second, which means a drop.
The conditions for the drop were met on Gox, but volume is very low, and can't drop on such low volume.
China kept buying slowly, delaying the expected drop. Maybe Gox is somehow waiting for China?

thx

I was wrong in my recognition of the sub-sub-sub waves, the third and most powerful was yet to come, and nicely it climbed,
especially in China. I should have trusted the theory about it, but to me the panic buyers seemed exhausted on Gox.
Anyway, China led this and I should have looked at their charts more. The sub-sub-sub-waves on Gox were difficult to recognize, and
the drop in market indicators didn't mean in this case the large drop at the end of the sub-sub-wave, but an intermediary drop
between sub-sub-sub-waves 2 and 3. What I am expecting is that once the 3rd sub-sub-sub-wave is depleted, the panic sellers
will see the last chance to sell on the rebound, and that should trigger a large drop, as sub-sub-sub-wave 4. That's my interpretation
of what just happened and might happen soon, but we'll see...

Then I reversed the polarity of the main deflector dish and left those Romulans eating my dust.

What up? Grin

I actually liked the $300k estimate* as a long term price goal. If it totally replaces gold it will be $300k, I guess it could be higher because it is better than gold and because it is also being a payment system but gold will never lose 100% of it's value as it's still nice and shiny. Diamonds have value as well while they are made from the most common atom on this planet: carbon.

* Of course in MAY2013USD before people start bitching about USD becoming worthless.

The waves have actually worked pretty well, at least for predicting a short-term correction. Hasn't worked very well with regard to how big that correction will be, though.

Anyone think those bitcoin ATM's will have any effect on the exchange rate? As in people having easier access to a bitcoin investment since it's an ATM?
This being Bitcoin, I'd wait until the first mugging or ram raid. Price will double Tongue

It's Libreoffice's inability to make charts that don't look ugly.

As for the ATM, seems silly. Just run a currency exchange kiosk and sell BTC. These machines look expensive as hell and things break.
