Yep, just read it. Surprised? No. I've read many like it. Old school establish ecconomists dismissing bitcoin as just another tulip story.. or just another blah blah.. Yeah.. spare me please. The comments section is even worse. Everytime i read comments on a bitcoin story on the web.. you see the same ill-informed opinion, and the same questions raised again and again. Though it is hardly surprising that these are questions raised by people who have not done any research into it. What is it backed by?? Cryptography and maths. How do we know there will only be 21 Million ever?? Cryptography and maths. Yes agreed. The concern is the general public (read potential future bitcoiners) are put off by the negative aspect of articles like this. Unfortunately not everybody understands cryptography or maths.... but however this is a short term problem that will be overcome as bitcoin becomes more user friendly, just like the early internet. I read the first couple of comments then dismissed them after reading somebody trying to say that 'they' (whoever 'they' are) can increase the 21M limit at will.

After coming public with my fiat millions, I have been interviewed in radio and tomorrow is one magazine etc. I hope that others will soon join me as the spokespeople If the reporter raises the bubble issue, I just quote sirius: "When bitcoin had less than 10 users, I sold BTC5,000 for $5." Now it is a million times more valuable. So is userbase a million times larger. It is simple math that a further 1000-folding of userbase will raise the price approximately 1000 times higher from here. If you believe bitcoin's growth will stall and go negative or the technology crashes, then it is a bubble. Otherwise it can hardly be a bubble.

Just want to make sure I'm in the right spot for the day. I don't want to be sitting idle all day, thats all. Yeah, I wondered if the holiday would damper things. Don't think China cares though.

How is BTC staying at 936 - stinks - glad I have no coins there (but wish I had fiat!)
That price is being manipulated lower to keep the other alts looking stronger. 500 btc buy would take that exchange past 1000 As I understand it, btce-prices are lower, as: - it is eastern europe based without a public figure -> risk of vanishing
- you can actually withdraw funds -> people withraw there at a loss
- folks sell quickly, as every second eyeballing the trollbox equals -10 IQ (some might up it though)

What a piece of crap that economist is saying!!!! Read this: The big advantage of Bitcoin as "stateless money" is that when it collapses, the government won't have to bail it out. Who is the government in a democratic country? Its people! And they have to bail out f... banks (trust me on this one, I am Greek)!!!! So, I trust banks with my money, they fuck it (as they are doomed to do because of their very existence) and then I have to bail them in or out or whatever. To make it short, I bail out myself because I am a fool in that I trust what is doomed to fail (that is banks)!!!! Well, silly me then!!! NO MORE
