No the reason it matters to close BT China is because the other exchanges are still wired to follow it move for move. We need that behavior gone.

Totally agree.   BTCChina closing would be very bullish, medium term.

What if the Chinese actually want bitcoins?   Maybe they just did the same thing everyone else does and used the opportunity to sell high and buy low.   Maybe with the prospects of the exchange closing, they realize that their bitcoins will become much more valuable and sought after . . .   Grin

That actually makes a good deal of sense.  There were some excited posts the other day about the huge volume of XBT transferring in the blockchain.  Many speculated that it was arbi, but transfer to Chinese wallets seems to be more realistic.

Gonna keep an eye on Bitfinex, they are run out of Hong Kong which enjoys a certain level of freedom from that of mainland China.

Perhaps I should rephrase.   They can only get "stealthy value" out of BTCchina by BTC?    I believe there are all sorts of KYC requirements recently enforced but suspect this is only enforced for bank transfers now.   Hell, what do I know though.  Do I look Chinese?

Ofcourse you dont know crap. KYC has already been implemented by BTCCHINA. Meaning, they kept record of all transactions linked to each identity. Do you think they can operate without it?

Stop posting already
