I think you guys are undervaluing the way these spikes take us to a new floor above the prior ATH. Yes, we should take major caution with manipulators, but the big up must naturally be followed by a big down. No news or whales are going to change that. Just let the market be what it is. If you're confused about timing look at a 1W chart, we will be touching those averages again, facts of life, Tootie.

What happens when china wakes up in a crash?
If there is a crash. That attempt to create panic seems to have fizzled Doubt this is attempt to create panic, rather the opposite. Whale(s) dumping over time. I don't think you're reading the situation right. It's only the chinese and regular folks prone to panic who are dumping. The real whales are accumulating at these prices. Don't take my word for it. Go back a few pages and carefully read Loaded's posts. They are quite telling (and bullish)..... At these prices? When Loaded posted last, and BTCChina rallied, they were nearing $300. +1 |

Except these really aren't huge coin numbers. it will go down for christmas for sure, but: week long bear trap. I think Christmas week through new years will be interesting. Institutional "normal" investors probably won't play but the small may have an opportunity to spend some time getting setup to purchase bitcoins or exchanging fiat for bitcoins. This might be married up with those who have been gifted coins exchanging them for Fiat/products. Mass psychology will definitely be interesting. |

I speculate he's one of the whales who are dumping right now, in order to buy back lower, because it just makes sense. I mean hey guys I know you all need a hero figure but he is a portfolio manager! Making money for his customers is his job. I speculate that he dumped close enough to the top and he cashed out fiat. Then he flew to China with bags of cash, and he gave them directly to Bobby Lee in order to deposit them on his BTCChina account. The he slowly bought coins, causing the price rise in BTCChina. And now he is closing the circle and dumping again, for a second final round of this "squeeze-a-nob" game. |

Question - do you ever take into the accounts the last "big" trades before making a decision? For example, if you that someone just dumped a big chunk of btc -does it give that trade more credit because the person should know what he is doing?
Sometimes its tempting just to follow large numbers - "well, these people cant be stupid for selling/buying now", thats what i think sometimes.
Have you heard of turtle trading? Simplest trading system-- I think it goes, if up 20 days (or whatever in BTC), then buy, if 20 down, sell. Has very good followers and record. Funny. |

So... buy high, sell low? Seriously, this type of system does not work with BTC time-frame. All the strategy really is, is glorified trend position trading. In btc, that would have blew your account faster than you can imagine. |
