Somebody's buying all bitstamp ... I wonder what's up there

maybe oda.krell?

I love it when my own buys make a noticeable candle, pushing it above some interesting price point. (only on Bitstamp, so less volume is needed, but still feels good Cheesy)

I wish Tongue I placed one large-ish buy an hour ago. Now I'm in with all that I'm prepared to spend atm.

damn you oda, fleeing from bear ranks, what's your position now if i may ask? Smiley

EDIT. i'm still 50/50, but maybe i'll adjust that little bit in next oversold situation

I'm all in with the speculative part of my position. Ready to sell (at a loss if necessary) if things don't go the way I hope they do, but the stability of the recent few days is a pretty positive sign IMO, short term at least.

FWIW:

There are 52(!) cryptocurrencies available. I got it as a joke when I've learned about Litecoin (yep; I'm that old) and never bothered to get myself into. Imagine when someone here posted about the Dogecoin! I would give it about 1/1,000,000 it was real. Today I have received an email with "Much Xmas" wish. I thought; you must be kidding. ITS REAL!

And... it was.
Count me for a lunatic; (Hint: look at the signature on the left  Grin) but every trend has a beginning. First there's laughter; then denial; then an awkward moment; then nerds' involvement; then comes massive involvement... What do you think success is?

I'm not trying to persuade anyone here. I bought myself today 100,000 doge coins. Why I did it? for the same reason I got involved into Bitcoin. It cost me about 0.08BTC or so. I will (as always) you know...

HODL!!!

Just for the laughter... you know Wink

We need a big fat steaming triple coiler of a dump so we can all buy thousands of Bitcoins real quick. Then an immediate jump up of 1000%. That would be a merry Xmas.

Just to remind everyone here about the senate hearing in USA, the senate was invited few days ago to bloomberg    http://www.bloomberg.com/video/thomas-carper-on-bitcoin-janet-yellen-max-baucus-i6WU~pUtSM~PJLE3YkpcXg.html

and he really had a positive comment about bitcoin, the final and official US statement will be next month, actually this what wall street is waiting for to start with bitcoin, although it was stated that many guys from wall street started buying bitcoins.  watch this video http://www.bloomberg.com/video/12-days-of-bitcoin-only-invest-what-you-can-lose-w~r_YpxmR3aALBFAV4akZg.html

Second Market Founder and CEO Barry Silbert which was in the video said that big investors are buying bitcoins out of the book order, this might explain the huge transaction that we had few days ago...

so my prediction is that in the Q1 of 2014 the price will skyrocket if the US statment will be positive which I think will be after hearing that interview of the senate, so people mark my words.

Mad china is almost out of the picture. Now we can get back to earth. Those guys love gambling/speculation. It's gaming and not realistic. Good riddance but thanks for your (china's) support. Stick to speculating on garlic and who'll get sars next.

As stated earlier, bar the shaking off china up until the end on jan, from here we should see steady but slower growth.

I dont understand these who are saying that China is out, haven't you guys done your research, China is all but out.. They still are holding about 70% of the btc markets volume. So I'm 100% sure that _IF_ chinese gov keep hitting the chinese exchanges like in the past, we are going to see 3rd flash crash.

I'm pretty sure the lowness of volume is holiday-related.

As for calling it "stability", I don't know. I'd call it stable if volume was significant.

huobi has been accused of faking a good part of their volume, don't know if it's true.
But that has not as much to do with it. A crash comes when it comes.

Holy shit, this is actually happening. Dogecoin is now more popular than Bitcoin. Screenshot taken from the same moment:

And here is a Chinese guy obsessing over it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1epYWC3oFqo#t=80s&hd=1

2014, year of the Doge.

Bitcoin is out.

Unfortunately it's relevant for Bitcoin when the scamcoins begin to rival its popularity and hype.
