For an additional possible joke suggestion, I had thought that something like disabling all hat avatars would be great, but I just don't know if there is an easy enough algorithm to filter the type of avatars, and another problem would be to reverse the joke.. might not be easy, either.  Anyhow, the ban of hat avatars premise could be that a kind of cult has established around hats, and such cult behavior takes away from forum cohesion.    Incumbent users of hats would be disallowed from employing the use of any kind of avatar for one year.

Things really are starting to look up. I'll be increasing my regular bitcoin purchases starting this week. I'm sure I am not alone as some confidence, albeit cautious, seems to be coming back to the marketplace and the comments.

Hi JJG.  In short, alts do not contribute in any way.  All alts, including ether, are captured by Bitcoin’s gravitational pull.  Most alts orbit around Bitcoin like asteroids.  As Bitcoin progresses across the heavens, sometimes the asteroids appear to precede her and sometimes the asteroids appear to lag behind, but that’s just an optical illusion.  Some asteroids fall towards the surface and burn up, others go spinning off into the void never to be seen again. Bitcoin gives no fucks and makes her own way in the stellar firmament.

Currently Bitcoin seems to be confined to the channel above. It managed to break the midline today and could find support on top of it in the next 12-48 hours and that would be great. The one thing I am being weary off still is the large rising wedge that everyone seems to have forgotten about since we had the bounce yesterday. It is possible still that this pump was simply the retest of the rising wedge and we could see a massive dump into and over the weekend. definitely not saying this will happen, BUT better to be prepared and cautious than rekt by an unexpected dump
