Went to get a coffee - $11,444 Fuck! @mic - Yessss Amsterdam party $15k soon possibly. Bro, I’m enjoying this a lot more than the bear market we endured So much fun to check the price every day & mostly green. Really enjoy the camaraderie in this thread. It’s good to have you lot to talk to about it, I don’t like to talk to my brother, family & friends about it because it feels like showing off. You guys are all on the train though so great to discuss

I'd much rather it was the route suggested by Mr. Augustus where you could directly pay for big ticket items. If I felt the need for a house I might sound out somewhere about that first before thinking about having to sell anything.
Don't forget about UWOs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unexplained_wealth_orderYou never know if/when the government might decide you don't deserve your nice house.

I’ve never sold moderate to large amounts of coin before (fiat wise) so I’m a bit nervous about that in the future. I don’t want to get caught with my pants down so I admit that last week I verified my UK bank & ID with Coinbase in preparation. If there was a De-Merit action I presume you’d all be giving it to me right now I think you'd have to be a legitimate crazyhead to use Coinbase for sums above the holiday/car level. Imagine how seized up and overloaded they'll be. Imagine how many get caught up in their obscure trigger mechanisms that even they don't understand. The last thing you need is to wind up some forgotten ticket number. You should sound out proper OTC operations. ^This. For GBP you can also use Coinfloor. Not quite the liquidity of Coinbase, but decent support and no problems cashing out. I've used both and localbitcoins over the years. It's hard to comment on amounts, but Coinbase would have no qualms locking you up for gawdknowswhat, LBC sales would probably involve a series of bank payments that might be more likely to cause alarms at your end, whereas Coinfloor's payments clearly arrive from a finance operation. If you haven't gone one already, get one of those "premier" type bank accounts where you can call a human and they're more used to dealing with larger sums.

2017 version of my better half: "Why you did not sell [some number] at 10K, you promised, you promised." 2019 version of the dialogue: "Should I, hon?" "Oh, no, keep it, don't you dare." Got myself a "keeper" Haha my better half: “Don’t talk to me about the price, what’s the point, you aren’t going to sell any of it anyway”. She’s right. a few years ago my wife was always wanting to sell "that funny" btc to upgrade vacations, travel, restaurants and such. i was the one who said we should really hang on to more of it. as always we compromised, and enjoyed our upgraded vacations or whatever. and realistically, btc was still much more iffy as to its long term survival then, so spending some was pretty reasonable anyway. a few years ago the odds it could all come crashing down were much higher than today. but now? she watches the price more than i do. and when i mention selling some she is the one who wants to hodl more. so now she mainly handles long term fiat investments (shes very good at it) and i handle crypto (and bumble along but do somewhat well anyway). how times have changed.

I've not read good things about Coinfloor. They also don't seem professional in the slightest. Some of their policy changes have been so extreme customers thought it was an April fool until they confirmed it. I wouldn't want to touch them either. I can stand on my own two stumps and point to every penny.

I usually dont care about TA.. but as i try to find something to chill me out.. i see $11500 can be a tough price to break. We were rejected there at the end of nov 2017.. and again in January, February and in March 2018... But as the honey badger doesnt care, he will chew and eat this resistance this time

I can stand on my own two stumps and point to every penny. Yeah, I read all that as well. But what can I say? I tried a couple of test amounts (before Coinbase's GBP facility) and it was fine and then used them for larger amounts and it was fine as well. Their changes were badly handled (like finex they wanted to lose the lo-money people who cost them tons in support and forum complaints, but bring no profits). Who knows why all the hate, its the internet, there could be any reason. Sour grapes, competitors, even the truth and I've just been lucky. Before them I used LBC, but unless you like giving it away you have to sell to retail, not one of the dealers, and its not worth the grief (to me).

But as the honey badger doesnt care, he will chew and eat this resistance this time There is one big difference. Nov/2017 broke after like 2 weeks. Jan, Feb, and Mar 2018 didn't because it was a bear market. Now it is the bull again. If we get rejected this time, it will succeed in a week or two. You better learn some TA. It may work or not but it definitely creates some awareness which can make a real difference on your trading decisions in a good way. If I knew what a bear market is, I would definitely have sold some when it was $15k after falling from $20k.

This probably made the price pump up to $11,380 today since india and iran are paying 23-30% premiums on the bitcoin they are buying on over the counter.

He's the average Get Rich Quick loser...
I believe we all (ok not all, but let's say many) were that guy at some point. I know I used to be him when I first met bitcoin in 2013. Telling the exact same lines to myself: "I swear I'll leave this thing when I reach my entry price." And I did, for a long time Till the early 2017. It was a mistake obviously. It was a mistake because he (and I) invested in something we don't know and neither spent enough time to understand it. A common mistake for many. Now I can hodl more than 40% of my net worth in bitcoin without blinking. Some people here are even more brave and hodl 90%+ though I am not sure how healthy this is. pretty sure most here panic sold at one point (i sure did at one point), its like a right of passage. and a good learning experience. well unless you lost big time and never recovered. hopefully not many went that far. and those of us who holdled through 20k.. well i think we are past the panic selling stage now. we just watch and enjoy the ride now. straight down? meh, wake me if it gets interesting. straight up? the same.. wake me up if it gets interesting. meanwhile, read the WO for the real information that matters.

From now on, I will keep waiting (taking profits of rest of my bitcoin, and waiting for chances to buy back). ---------- Blackbird fly...into the light of the dark black nightUnfortunately I did when I failed to buy a coin recently I have been watching for the past 6 months rise from $3.20 last weekend to $8.40 this morning. Waiting for something to dip in price is always going end up being a complete and utter failure on your part in any case. 6 months ago it was $1.86 Just buy now or regret later.
