So how low do you guys think we'll go?

I don't think it should get much lower from here but maybe we could see a similar pattern of 2016 june

I'm thinking lower $9ks would be reasonable, but bitcoin does not tend to be reasonable.  except when she wants to be, which again seems to be rare.

Could be. The recent parabolic rise looks like it is now ending. It went a lot higher than most expected in such a short time frame. A normal retracement would give a target in the region of 7-9k, leaving the bull case intact. ...could take around 3-4 weeks to get there.  The alternative is increasing volatility and a quick return to new highs.  Whatever happens , a lot of speculators will get burned when the rise ends, and it takes time to flush their left-over effects out of the market.

Still a conjecture until tThe next few days plays out.  are critical.

Fixed that last sentence for you.    Wink

So far 25% crash from the AYH. Not impressed. Hodlers lose nothing, only weak hands lose, as always.

Hey WO's,

Today I had a class (I teach electronics as a side activity to my main job). We were talking about digital stuff, gates, etc. One thing led to another and we ended up talking about Bitcoin. I felt like Andreas Antonopoulos on stage...

Some statistics:

-- Most students hadn't even heard about Bitcoin, and those few who had were all males, no females knew anything about it. However, the females were very interested, especially when they realised it can be very profitable.

-- The few students that knew about it were mostly misinformed about what it is and how it works.

-- The entire class (about 30 students) was ecstatic. They really wanted to know and understand it. We skipped all breaks, they wanted to stay in the classroom and learn about it.

-- Many of them wanted to buy. Many downloaded wallets on their phones. Some purchased online versions of Andreas Antonopoulos' book.

The entire experience confirmed what I already knew: this thing is just getting started. Young generations are very keen to embrace the new technology, when it is properly presented and explained to them. Not sure if what I did was "appropriate", but it felt right, and I felt glad that my "lecture" may change the lives of some of those guys.

Keep HoDLing!

I am glad I did not miss it. Keep spreading the word. Good job blood.

I agree that it would be good to hold above $10k

But I am afraid that it is not likely to hold above $10k

Furthermore, I will brazenly assert (which seems to be similar to what you are saying) that it is not necessary to hold above $10k (and we still remain on a magnanimous bull run)

Yep... decent chances of that... .... and I am afraid to say the levels could be in the
$7k to $9k range... during such correction period... perhaps?  Perhaps?  Nothing is a given in these here parts.

Prediction: we will go through $10k like a hot knife through butter, just like we did on the way up. Then the screaming will start.

Edit:  Shitty mobile phone TA.  Making lower low following massive volume spike as shown at crosshairs in pic means that the rally that should have occurred from $11,795 (see crosshair) failed.  Failure of this rally is a strong bearish signal.  Bears back in control.

This sounds like bullshit.  I haven't met ANYONE that doesn't know what Bitcoin is in the last several years, even 60-70 year olds all know what it is.  As for women, yes, it's no surprise they wouldn't know about something because they're not really sapient beings in the first place, but all college age females I've seen in the last several years all know what it is too.  People as a whole probably know more about valueless digital shitcoins than they do physical metals nowadays, which means Bitcoin is NOT some undiscovered, prime real estate that nobody knows about.
