In Japan at least, there have been plenty of front page news stories about Bitcoin.   I bet almost no one here knows about Enron.

Brightburn was awesome !!!!!!

I didn't think so, as it was just an inverse, complete replica copy of superman, almost to the point where you could predict what would happen next every second of the movie.  The entire movie was derivative in nature and couldn't stand on it's own two feet unless people already knew of the Superman story in the first place.  It was a cheap, Weird Al parody marketed as a serious movie - not exactly the definition of awesome.

Just a heads up to any new investors. Don't panic sell, hold on to those precious coins. A drop like this is nothing unusual. In every bull-run we've had several 20-30% corrections, just to reach new heights.

Let me share you a story about my first bull-run back in 2012, when BTC went from ~$5 to $266. I bought in at around $10. When my BTC had doubled or so in terms of fiat value, I thought it would be a great idea to diversify some, so I bought a 0.5 oz gold coin for 60 BTC and 40 BTC worth of silver. If I would have hold on to those BTC, the same amount would have given me 400 oz gold bar today (thanks Gyrsur for your updates).

Don't be like me back in 2012. Hold on to your coins. We are still very early in, in this bull run.

.. so who cares whatever the fuck you actually said because your implications are clear, you are leaving a kind of implication that many people know about bitcoin and they do not.... so don't be getting conveniently caught in technical details about what you said when it is sufficiently clear that you are spouting out inaccuracies.. because the essence of what you are saying seems to be a purposefully misleading statement because it suggest inaccurate facts about adoption and/or opportunities for adoption, which is surely not even close to the case.

I specifically wanted him to clarify because it was very odd to me that majority of electronics class students had not "heard" about bitcoin, when in fact everyone around me has indeed heard about it (and no, I don't imply they refused to buy it or whatever because they thought it's a scam).

^Any completely artificial, Keynesian widget is a scam by default.  As are all 'currencies', as opposed to 'money' (physical commodities like gold and silver).  All currencies start at a value of zero and return there - there are no exceptions.  Such is the fate of cryptocurrency.  The only type of transaction that doesn't revolve around scams is barter.  

Humans attempted to utilize money to practice specialization of labor in lieu of barter.  If you view specialization of labor as a necessary evil, the closest thing to barter without being barter itself is the exchange of physical commodity money since physical commodities are barter relatively speaking.  Any extrapolation further than that is just flat out fraud or centrally planned, Keynesian neo-feudalism/communism/it's all the same thing.

Bitcoin does NOT remove any of those central planners of communism.  It has built-in middlemen, and those 'transaction validators' are designed to centralize under corporations who can afford massive R&D budgets and foundries like Samsung, Intel, Global Foundries, TSMC, etc.  Bitcoin is the same corporate fascism that already exists, except it's even worse than what exists now because Bitcoin is nothing more than a centralized govt tracking system where the gatekeepers (the tiny amount of transaction validators) will simply blacklist your funds and make them unspendable.  It's an exact replica of the Chinese social credit score system for it's endgame evolution.

The size and the speed of the rally was unsustainable and the size and the speed of the correction was even worse. But what something like that just does is it shakes out the weak hands and reminds people that there's risk. This is a healthy movement in something that's gone as far as it is. This is what has to happen. I think it could easily gather itself above the $10,000 level and resume what it was doing before.
