Happy New Year! I was going to post that soon bitcoin can break $31k too, but I was too slow...
It has already:

According to preev Wink
It just was two days late because it was going by the dates.. $29k by the 29th $30k by the 30th and it should of been $31k by new years eve.
But we can't be choosers just be happy now. Smiley

So in Nov - Dec I said 25-30k was a correction zone.

Thus I sold a piece today at 30200.

Careful.
Some funny WO member (me?) could invent something like the MOTY-award (mindrust of the year award).
It's awarded to the WO who sold at the lowest price point of a full year  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Seriously, why i post:
Blockfolio stuck at $29.8xx, refreshing forever. Huh  Huh Huh
Me thinks: "Last time this happened, BTC was rocketing..."   Shocked Shocked Shocked
So i checked cryptowat.ch on my mobile  Cool Cool Cool Cool

I am on track to earn 120k worth of coin mining this year. If that happens  I cash 50k worth. I stack 70k.

My next sell point        is 35k
My sell point after that is 40k
My sell point after that is 50k

That's what I meant when I said I was too slow - bitcoin moves faster that I post Smiley

So you felt richer after BTC went from 700 -> 18,000 compared to 9000 -> 30,000?       Seems right but that would mean it is downhill from here which doesn't seem to be the case.      Do you remember when BTC was hitting $3000?  How does that feeling compare to now?

this is embarrassing but i dont recall 3k with any particular emphasis. 100, 1000, 10k and the 2017 ath of 20k sure. but not 3k.

so.. yeah drugs mess with your memory. you have been warned.

Dunno. I felt richer in 2017. In 2021 the fork coins have no value (not that I own any any more) and XMR is on 75% discount relatively.

So you felt richer after BTC went from 700 -> 18,000 compared to 9000 -> 30,000?       Seems right but that would mean it is downhill from here which doesn't seem to be the case.      Do you remember when BTC was hitting $3000?  How does that feeling compare to now?

It does feel a bit like $3k actually. Comparing the weekly candles now and then, it even looks a bit similar.

They both looks like going parabolic. On the climb towards $3k we had 8 green candles before we corrected. Today we've had 3. The question imho, is how far we will go this time before any correction?

I sold a significant part in December to cover it's taxes. I didn't want to sell yet, but I also didn't want to risk having to pay taxes on earnings that no longer exist. Just my luck to see prices go up 60% since then....
I didn't sell everything of course, but "what could have been" keeps playing in my mind.

$40k is no longer a thing. It’s $50k we’re aiming at now  Kiss

Edit: Mayer multiple above 2 now. Historically an indication that valuations are getting frothy.

Ok, when you go to walk the dog, come back, and bitcoin is up another thousand it's time to really start thinking about this....

The meta question with this kind of pumping and new regulations and attention from everyone is: Why did we get into bitcoin in the first place? What attracted us? Is it still there? Has it changed? Have *we* changed?
