Good morning Bitcoinland.

Another day, yet another ATH ($31584 Stamp)... currently $31222USD/$39746CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Funny how few rocket/train/moon/fiddle memes are being posted. We all seem to realize this is just beginning.

Go Bitcoin go.

I'm curious about Preev. Why would anybody use it as a price reference?

I can understand noobs and shitcoiners using Coinmarketcap but why Preev?

I refer to Bitcoinaverage as a multi-exchange reference because it is used by the majority of ATM operators in Toronto. I consider it to be real-world.
Who uses Preev?

When I was buying a little fiat on Friday for my January expenses, I had a little chat with my OTC exchange connection (who uses Bitstamp) I mentioned Preev. They mentioned Coinmarketcap. We had a good laugh about it.

It is curious how price increases change magnitudes. Six months ago, going up $1k meant a 10% increase. Where we are now we only need a bit over 10% increase to break $35k.

investing with whole BTC is now possible just for large investors. small investors will use mBTC because it's not possible for them to buy whole bitcoins anymore.

as long the large investors want to secure their wealth also with Bitcoin we still will see large swings in percent.

Hey WOers!

Have been trying to follow WO in these great times. Price is soaring, what a wonderful start of the year. We all deserve it, as our patience, perseverance and belief, are now being rewarded. 2021 should be a great year for Bitcoin, and we'll be here to celebrate it. No memes, no Carolinas, no CCMF. That should tell us something. Price is just too low for those. Perhaps at $50k or $100k...

The year started badly for me, I've been in bed for the last couple of days. High fever (up to 40 degC), diarrhea, it's fucking torture... Could be a cold, a flu, or COVID-19, I don't know. What I do know, is that I had to go to different places the last couple of weeks and most people I met either did not wear masks properly, or not at all. FUCKS! Measured my fever just now, it's 38 degC. It could mean it's subsiding. I hope so.

Lots of merit-worthy posts out there, you guys are awesome, my phone is next to my bed, trying to catch up. No merits to pass on, but that's no problem I see many of you have taken care of that.

Going back to bed, and hopefully whatever bug or virus I have will clear away soon.

Take care all.

BTW, not selling a fucking sat!

Yeah, preev.com has always had this option to view it from three different exchanges or to have them average out from all of them(set as default for two when you bring up the page) and show the price at the moment.

I see. Any reason to use it instead of any other tracking or charting site? It doesn't even seem to show the order book.

I usually use Bitcoinwisdom but I'll sometimes use Bitcointicker for a more comprehensive order book. I even still use Bitcoincharts occasionally for checking historical data.
___

In my original question I was referring to using Preev as a multi-exchange price index. Bitcoinaverage seems more comprehensive.

^^
It's more or less a quick way to see the price without needing to load any charts on the screen.
If your on a mobile it is great to see the price at a glance.

I only go by this chart Cheesy

The charts don't display well on my phone so I like the simple display I get with preev.  Obviously I can't see the trend but I check often enough to know it Smiley

OK Makes sense.

If I'm stuck with having to use my phone, I just google bitcoin price. Same thing... small accuracy compromise for easy-to-read convenience.
