Just produce stuff off-planet and send it in. Launch trash towards the sun.
Ironically, it takes a lot of energy to drop stuff into the sun. Can't you just point it there, fire a thruster, and let it go it's course? (I mean, calculate where it should end up, but yeah, basically go towards the sun.) Good point... Push it out of earth's orbit and the suns gravity takes over. Most trash you can recycle on-planet. Also launching trash can be done without thinking about the health of individuals so just shoot it straight up at 12:00

Seems straightforward then. We bulldoze San Francisco and cover it in solar panels. San Fran was one of the coolest cities on the planet... Too bad your idea is actually a good one.

It's the bolded part... Just make an amusement ride that goes up at 11.2km/sec and let the cart go off the rails.... As I said I can build something that can launch humans off planet without rocket thrusters so the bold part is doable within engineering limits. It's just $$$ and time...... And doing insane shit that ever engineer would love to do but scares them...

Does it mean we see it today? nope. Does it mean we see it tomorrow? nope. Does it mean if you are storing billions in gold you should shift some to BTC? maybe.
Indeed. The value of gold is largely supported by speculation and those who want a hedge. As soon as any concrete measure in the direction of asteroid mining occurred, the price would surely drop like a rock. Space mining is still possible? As far as I know it is still in our imaginary vision, maybe we can try after colonize the mars?

and again ... shortly up to 50,6k ... now down again in very short time under 50k ... no manipulation at all ... pure market ...
BUT could been a long REKT ... But I would suggest a short REKT when the price gone up ...
AFAIK honey badger still doesn't care. It's just your emotions that make these market movements unpleasant to you. I recommend to tune down the emotions. Just accept "the manipulation" (put inside quotes because, well... nobody can prove it's manipulation actually). Disconnect from wishful thinking. You can still choose to be euphoric on the next pump, but remember these exciting times and just barely look cool at the following dumps and range chopping. Cool as ice (Sorry, i heard vanilla on the radio today, this one hit wonder song hooked me when i was a teenager). Do yourself something good today

I'm with the other guy who thinks we should be grounded in reality for now. Space elevators are fun and all, but we could still cover a lot of surface area on the planet, maybe even in the oceans, for plenty of solar panels / arrays to power the world (or a bitcoin miner.) I found this before: https://landartgenerator.org/blagi/archives/... So it's not updated, but you can line up a whole bunch of solar panels near the equator and not much is needed to power the world (not including bitcoin miners) ... That article also discusses wind power and hydroelectric power. Edit: here is another one just for bitcoin. https://landartgenerator.org/blagi/archives/5697... First off I postulated that bringing that asteroid into orbit would offset the cost so as usual WO twisted the thread around to a logical fallacy. The two are not mutually exclusive.

I found this before: https://landartgenerator.org/blagi/archives/127One of the big things right now is the minerals required for high efficiency generators, solar panels and batteries for storing it all. Mining space would be a good way to handle that over some of the ethically questionable methods currently used. Just produce stuff off-planet and send it in. Launch trash towards the sun. That trash needs to be scooped up and used in offworld industry as the cost to get it up there has already been paid.

I wonder if a year of people not going to restaurants or shopping all day has disrupted such a feeling and given people the break they needed to get over their addiction to such things.
Nope, it's getting worse by being locked up inside watching trash TV and spending from home. Sad really. Ahh, true. I sometimes forget that people waste their days watching TV. I get it, it's like sleeping all day but not being asleep. I've been so much busier during lockdowns. Less people interrupting me with "socialising" allowing me to get stuff done.

Price will go up again as well.... But never above ATH as I confirmed. It's important to note that the Llama Movement is always downwards. Gravity. Those movements can be spectacular, but whether they end with a thud or a splat depends on water, fiber and quinoa. Hedge accordingly. Preferably upwind.

Powell's comments today may have played a role in the market.
He acknowledged the obvious inflation, trying to downplay it as temporary but he also saw some recovery in the economy over the next few months.
“If we do see what we believe is likely a transitory increase in inflation, where longer-term inflation expectations are broadly stable, I expect that we will be patient" he said about raising interest rates.
Like it or not, with all of the ETFs and corporations buying bitcoin we are now affected by the overall market a lot more than back in the day when price changes mainly reflected something happening in the Bitcoin world.
Powell is basically saying that they're keeping an eye on inflation. They assume it will go up in the short term but also believe long term it will not get out of control so they will wait on raising interest rates until they see a long term trend in inflationary pressure.
The key that we all should understand is that once the Fed raises interest rates, the everything bubble will pop. It will be the housing crisis and the 2008 market crisis times 100. Will Bitcoin crash with the market or will Bitcoin be seen as a hedge. Hopefully people will flee to bitcoin but who knows. When the market crashed due to lockdowns last March bitcoin crashed but bounced right back. So it's sort of hard to figure that one out.
