Take a dollar bill out of your pocket and contemplate the level of effort that went into its production.

Now look around you: all the assets and capital to which that paper lays claim; imagine how much effort went into producing it all.

Asymmetry of effort is why fiat fails...
https://twitter.com/Breedlove22/status/1374201401786527747?s=20

Upon thoughtful reflection, can anyone seriously believe that a piece of paper backed by threats alone will continue to command all capital flows in the digital age?

Or will money that requires work to produce become favored as the true measure of market actor satisfaction? #BTC BTC

It looks to me that the bulls are still in control. Practically every 2% drop gives a tough fight. 53K is just an arbitrary support line which however is nearly impossible for the bears to break. And what would they achieve even if breaking it? Nothing! On the other hand, the daily traders accumulated on average over 50% losses from the last weeks. They simply can't afford taking only 0-1% profits, not to mention stop losses. So the next attempt of breaking 60K and heading towards 75K-85K range should be successful. Then 100K and so on! Life is good for the hodlers and stressfull for the traders, especially for those playing with leverage. Btw, the long liquidations in the last month are twice the short liquidations on Binance, so it is time for some spectacular short squeeze months ahead!

Looking at the chart with the 2013/2017 comparison, we could still go essentially sideways for 3 months+ without breaking the pattern. This in a range of $42k-60k. There would be excellent moments to buy the dip along the way.

Bitcoin @ $53k / BTC...

OMG, gloom, despair, agony, deep dark depression, excessive misery, bad luck!

I wish there was a time machine to quote this message back in 2016...

I am quite lucky, i simply have so little time to watch the price Smiley
Though, i'm quite surprised. Bought the top, too...

Short-term price is irrelevant. You are quite lucky indeed. Later this year, WOers will be wishing they had bought Bitcoin as cheaply as you...

We're thinking the same, actually  Cool

There must have been a mistake made!  Why is Canada not on that list?!  We've been happy since Confederation; it's in our constitution for Pete's sake!!  What have you Aryan bastards done with Canada?!
I'm so sad now.  I gotta go.  I'm going out to spray paint some happy graffiti on the parliament buildings and toss a few glitter grenades inside - maybe that will help.

Some on WS could be following Bobby Lee's idea: that btc will go to 300K and then to $30K (he mentioned 90% decline from the top) within 2-3 years.

Since when did we start following Bitcoin price sorcerers?

remember how much credibility Vinny Lingham had in about March 2017.. when the price was in about the $1.2k arena and had dipped to $800 area, and then he said that sub $500 was inevitable because many rich folks that he knew were selling blah blah blah.. and anyone who followed Lingham's advice surely should have been regretting any such thing.

If you take it at a face value, there is no point for an investment house to buy in now, then show a 45% decline from here within 3 years.

Makes sense to me that since they do not know the future, they are considering getting in now..

Yes, it would pop up first according to Bobby Lee

Fuck Bobby Lee and the "according to" aspect of your comment.

and pretty much everyone else,

Yes.. a kind of "royal we".. Lingham had proclaimed "everyone" who is anyone is selling too, but ended up saying that at the bottom of the then BTC price correction... and BTC prices never ever to return to those levels after those wise words and the representations about what "everyone" was doing.

but as long as the downside from 300K is 90% the numbers above are not very desirable for a 3-3.5 year hold.

Biodom... recommends:  Dont buy bitcoin.. wait for 3 or 3.5 years or so, so you don't miss opportunity costs with your money..

That makes a lot of sense, Biodom.

NOT

Personally, I think that Bobby is wrong and btc trajectory would be different,

Well, at least you recognize that angle.

but it is certainly a possibility (maybe 1-5%).

Yes, a lot of things are possible, and we do not put more than 1% to 5% value into matters with those kinds of probabilities, and gosh are you being generous to go up to 5% with your assignment of probabilities to such scenario that "could, possibly, might happen?"

Normally, one reads all of the text, then responds to the conclusion.

Check on those concepts. This is reading comprehension 101.
Instead, you are slicing each individual phrase, which makes no sense whatsoever, unless  you are either a computer program or you did not receive education pass the elementary school (it is OK if this is the case, you achieved a lot, was right on bitcoin and accumulated wealth, but it would explain many things in your posts).

Additionally, presenting someone's idea, then disagreeing with the idea means that you did not agree with the idea, don't you think?

Not sure we're out of the woods yet.

Set an order at $52.5k just incase, but my gut is telling me that my order @ $53k isn't going to get filled, and we start a slow recovery from here.

had an buy order at 53.1k fire off last night.

my next lowest buy, also at 52.5k, is still there.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still bouncing along sideways in the $5xxxx range... currently $55106USD/$69303CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

I know it's a little boring but after our already substantial gains in March, it's good to consolidate a little before the even greater gains coming in April and months ahead.

Go Bitcoin go.

Gloom, despair, and agony on me
Deep, dark depression, excessive misery

You forgot goblins... mathematical scientific goblins.  Cool

Okay guys I know we're all hurting due to this latest Bitcoin setback so I've decided to share with you a recipe for what I like to call Chocolate Depression Cake Two Ways.
Since we're all poor again, we can't afford luxuries such as butter, milk and eggs so this recipe does not require those expensive items.  You can continue to buy the dip and stack sats with your hard earned money while lowering your risk of depression and age-related cognitive decline (since we're waiting soooo long for the moon) by consuming this delicious and cheap, chocolate cake!  This is an actual recipe and it's vegan too (if you swing that way).

INGREDIENTS
CHOCOLATE CAKE
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar (granulated)
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
⅓ cup cooking oil
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup water

CHOCOLATE ICING
1½ cups powdered sugar
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 Tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

CAKE
Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt and baking soda thoroughly (use a bowl if you can afford one otherwise and old plastic 2 liter cola bottle will do).  Add the vinegar and the vanilla to the 1 cup of water then add the oil followed by the water mixture to the dry ingredients.
Stir (use an electric mixer if you can afford the utility bill) until smooth.
Pour the mixture into an 8 or 9 inch square baking pan.
Bake @ 350ºF for 35 minutes.

ICING
It is imporatant to let the cake cool before applying the icing.
Mix the powdered sugar, cocoa and vanilla extract together.  Begin adding water to the mixture 1 tablespoon at a time, until it thickens but is still able to be poured. (This should be about 3 Tbsp).
Pour the icing over the cake and spread to cover the cake.
Enjoy! (the chocolate and sugar will cause your brain to release endorphins to help to take away the pain of your poverty)

When observing such things, one should really examine how the "happiness" is measured. More often than not, it's agenda driven with metrics of "social justice" and "nationalized healthcare" rather than attempting to measure the subjective happiness of countries' citizens directly.

Bitcoin @ $53k / BTC...

OMG, gloom, despair, agony, deep dark depression, excessive misery, bad luck!

I wish there was a time machine to quote this message back in 2016...

Remember March is doom and gloom too, and I am just having troubles considering that current prices of just below $55k is doom and gloom, either.. at around 14% UP in the last month (referring to my response to gallianooo in this post).  Accordingly, we will need to get down to $47.3k just to come out as flat for the month... surely sucks if we were flat for a whole month (well with a bit of a 30% UPpity in the middle), no?  Bearish as fuck, no? If not bearish, at least a bad month, right?

Some on WS could be following Bobby Lee's idea: that btc will go to 300K and then to $30K (he mentioned 90% decline from the top) within 2-3 years.

Since when did we start following Bitcoin price sorcerers?

Oh gawd.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Instead, you are slicing each individual phrase,

Goes to show how dumb your ideas are in and of themselves, so would surely be difficult to build house of good ideas based on a foundation of bad ideas, no?

which makes no sense whatsoever,

To some peeps, especially those who are combatting with their own denials

unless  you are either a computer program or you did not receive education pass the elementary school (it is OK if this is the case, you achieved a lot, was right on bitcoin and accumulated wealth, but it would explain many things in your posts).

First I am a gurl, then I am a bot..

Do you have any abilities to attempt to respond to substance rather than engaging in diversion tactics?

Additionally, presenting someone's idea, then disagreeing with the idea means that you did not agree with the idea, don't you think?

Sure.  I think.

There are a lot of ways to respond to ideas within posts.

You are doing a great job, Biodom.   Wink Wink
