Looking at charts constantly and setting your expectations too high I think is just a waste of time.

Chronic underachiever syndrome.

Ok, $99,384 by Friday midday. Proudhon's reverse maths combined with a chart I found somewhere on YouTube told me so.
Happy now?

Happy birthday nullius! :p
Happy cake day to you nullius... you are a merit magnet

Thanks, but—oh, noes!  My personally identifying information has been leaked.  How did you dox me?  😿

Someone must have submitted my ID on my behalf in my absence, when theymos started enforcing KYC on the forum.  Golly darn it, Kitty!  Have you no respect for privacy!?  😾

What?  Nullius was born??

Ah, phew.  What a relief.  I forgot:  I AM ETERNAL.  With neither beginning nor end, I have no birthday for the NSA to discover.  I am division by zero.  Muahahaha!

How about a bitcoin alarm that wakes you up by reading the price?

My girlfriend’s paysite, which accepts Bitcoin.  I’m the BOFH sysadmin.

(Why would I check the price?  After awhile, it gets boring to watch my ticker repeat 1 BTC = 1 BTC.  I mean, I love Bitcoin, but the thing just stays the same...)

I have been reading about all the comments about me and how people are targeting my post as merit begging. It wasn’t. It was just for fun, i even added a max limit and I literally bought $1000 worth BTC that day from my exchange.

Also, It was the choice of those who sent me merit if they found that post interesting enough.

I have never begged merit, nor I support that. It would be awesome if you keep my name out of this shit.
Thanks!

Congrats on your purchase and your inevitable gains.

[...]

Apologies for being a little too picky here, but I absolutely hate it when I see a non-symmetrical version of the infinity symbol being used, such as the one shown above, which just looks like '8' rotated by 90°. Such a symbol will never be found in any of my writings. It is of no coincidence that (LA)TEX uses the proper, symmetrical symbol in its standard math typeface, or else it would not have passed Donald Knuth's strict criteria—and rightly so!

The one in your avatar looks fine though, and I find the entire avatar very beautiful. Just imagine how it would look like, had you used the ugly symbol above...

There! Much better!

to me, your post kinda came across as parody of merit begging posts (sort of an in joke around here, or at least it has been in the past), and i got the impression you were buying a grand of btc anyway as you mentioned that specific limit. so, sorta on the edge.

As one of the folks who blasted merits at him, I read it as playful.

You know... I live in a big city.  Most convenience stores have some guy out front trying to scam a dollar or two out of you for his drug habit.  It's sad, and eventually you go numb to it, which is sort of sadder.  I usually walk right by.

One time there was a dude working his angle and as I walked by him he started mumbling something about his kid and diapers, and then said "Fuck it... I am a drunk and I need a beer".  I chucked and went in the store.  On the way out I handed him a beer.  Maybe not my best ever decision... but in that moment the dudes desperate honesty just got me in the right spot.

I would say I have a policy to ignore anything that looks at ALL like "merit begging".   For the most part I just ignore it.  It's not even worth the time to talk about it.

On the other hand?  Whatever.   I bet ya ImThour ends up contributing to this little crazy town we all come to visit...  If not?  Well... again... whatever.   I hope he really did buy that BTC.

First thing I do is launch Firefox, which automatically opens 6 sites:

- Kraken 5m BTC/EUR
- Bitstamp 5m BTC/USD
- Wall Observer

In that order. Then I make coffee.

I have one of these Nespresso ones, with the capsules. Great inventions. There must be some with Wi-Fi I guess... Ideally, you would install a tube permanently into your mouth and let the 'puter do its thing. Should work great with the Bitstamp chart plugin installed.
