This whole shtcoin thing is starting to have that mid 2017 feel to it. There was a major crash after it got to a crazy level, it affected BTC somewhat but alts got creamed. These pumps aren't being driven by the institutions so how far can retail really push it? remember the flippening talk from back then, I'm sure that will be starting up soon.

400 billion cap for ETH, 100 billion for binance coin, and 70 billion for doge. Seems kind of nuts especially the speed in which they got there.

yea..I wonder when and where it all ends. In coinbase lists doge soon, it might be at $1, fulfilling "the prophecy".
I am a bit amused looking at that. The other two have momentum, but it cannot last if bitcoin is not cooperating.
At least, this is my expectation. I would say that for s-tcoins, it feels more like Jan 2018 than mid 2017.
If for bitcoin it is a mid cycle correction/flat, than it will all resolve positively.

Well, if it's 2018 the cycle is over. I don't think that it is, which is why I think mid 2017 is more appropriate. Sucks either way honestly, the way a lot of these things are pumping makes the whole market look like a joke, which is not a good look.

well, if you it compare to the stock market, all internet stocks looked like a joke..that lasted from late 1997 to early 2000, quite a bit of time.
It all depends on the level of participation. Judging by some of my colleagues info sharing, quite a few now got coinbase accounts and are buying bitcoin and e-thingie (it shows), so we could be somewhere in 1998-1999 with respect to the Internet "bubble", give or take. It can continue for a while, imho. But first, there could be a dip (mildly declining coinbase price kind of predicts it).

I'm definitely thinking we dip, we can't not with this kind of crazy. I'm just hoping BTC doesn't dip too much and recovers quickly. This time without the shitcoins participation.

If you are as rich as Bill Gates you can literally afford to have a new wife every day.
Unless you can REALLY find someone you can trust and likes to do all the things you like, is respectful and patient and doesn't throw a tantrum over trivial things I would go with the new wife per day option.
Premium whore rates are what? About $2000 per day or whatever?
Literally less than 1 million bucks per year.
Bill Gates wipes his ass with a million.

So that's where this picture is from..
Don't forgot to flush that T.P in the golden toilet. Grin

Seems like the sh*tcoin is pumping from all the hype this week for former self-proclaimed C.E.O of Doge is going to make a skit about it on SNL this weekend.
Others are saying it's because Robinhood that thieving exchange is buying it all up. Roll Eyes
Was at $0.42 last night now at $0.57.

Sh*t on sh*t.. you make up your own mind.
Just like in what you invest in with stocks, assets, land.. nobody is going to hold your hand while you do it.
People will be people, just look at the that fake dogecoin will pump commercial with him in it on the Superbowl.
Received millions of views (could be fake as well) but it is publicity.
No denying that.

Ha! I just clicked on this one! Memories!  First ever upload 6 years ago.
Recorded 20 years ago in some wannabe producer dudes basement with a 16track digital machine for free.
And yeah,  he added that whatever drum track. I didn't have much of an opinion on it.
I just let it ride because I was like "oh cool! I'm recording my own song for free! "
He didn't even bother to turn the stupid thing off at the end....lol
Now its kind of etched permanently in time.
Oh look, it has 24 plays!  Woo hoo! I should be star on Instagram so my ego can get stroked....

https://soundcloud.com/sirazimuth/sirazimuth16tr

Hey, I like it. 20 years ago, it was perhaps an Alesis ADAT (you could chain them together).  Before that, recording digital tracks was measured in thousands of dollars per track, ADAT let you put 8 digital tracks on a VHS tape.

Sounds kinda like Bowie/Jethro Tull (without flute).

Heh.. I still have an ADAT... but that is more like vintage 1991.  ~ 2000 there were several affordable 16 track all in one type gizmos with much less trouble to maintain than the old SVHS rigs.  I wonder if there is any parts value of my old unit.. I certainly do not need it any more.

Agree sirazimuth's song has a Tullish vibe... cool.

I don't hate the drum track either. Wink

Most of that Doge is held on exchanges which can be dumped in an instant like most of the shitcoin crap.
When Bitcoin took a dump, those alts took a bigger dump except for a very few and it wasn't Doge from what I remember.

Agreed. Regardless of whatever you think of whichever shitcoin (hint - it's shit), these ridiculous pumps and dumps just make the whole cryptosphere (and btc by implication) look like a game played by spotty oiks in their parents' basement. Yes, they're shitcoins. And yes, "crypto" deserves a bat slap. But to the uneducated masses and "influencers" (whatever tf that means), bitcoin becomes undeservedly tarnished by the association. I wish we could see the back of these joke tokens forevermore, so btc can just get on with replacing fiat as unencumbered as possible.

Wow...I never knew that after nearly three decades with someone that is supposedly your soulmate for life, that you still have to desperately find "a way to grow together" or its divorce-ville.

Thanks for clarifying real marriage there, Bill.  Roll Eyes

(These fkn celebrity marriages...I swear)

One lucky guy that Bill is. Now he gets to upgrade to Wife 2.0.

No, the naming convention changed.
It will be "Wife 2" or "Wife 2022" most likely  Smiley

... except we all know how well microsoft upgrades go ...

Better not to boot it before Service Pack 1 or 2, then...  Roll Eyes

Windows does have WSL now... so maybe going back to console / command prompt Wife 2022. Still, could write a powershell script to repeat tasks. Hire a discreet professional and pay her, he'll have almost no problems for some time.

What's still bizarre and unfair about the "crypto" market, is that Bitcoin is still roped in with all the shitcoins.

The stock market does not rope in large/medium cap stonks with pink sheet "penny stonks" in any way. And by and large, the Average Joe public knows the difference.

I guess it's going to take another decade or two for Bitcoin to disassociate with the "shitcoin crypto market".

This shitshow going on is so like in 2017. Average Joes who don't have the guts to buy and hodl Bitcoin see the daily shitcoin gains and think they will get rich overnight if they buy now. Because $3400 for shitcoin1 is way cheaper than 60K for 1BTC, and so on. What they don't understand is that during the night the shitcoin may lose 40% and this will be just the beginning of the end. Although some shitcoins survived one bear market, most of them didn't, so there is no guarantees it will survive again. For example shitcoin1 crashed from $1400 to $80 in 1 year. Nobody believed it will recover, but miracles happen sometimes. Will this happen again? I really doubt it.

tl;dr. Let's focus on the imminent 2-3x increase of the price, which will cross an important milestone of $100K. Will it happen in the next few weeks? Or will this shitshow delay it with several months? Anyway, it seems inevitable. Although I prefer the quick version, the longer version has a bigger chance of extending the top by another 2-3x up to $333K+, like in the second half of 2017.

P.S. It is funny that most shitcoins have 2 digit daily profits, while Bitcoin has 5% daily loss. I can only imagine the distress of the daily traders who sell with stop losses screaming like little girls. And this is happening over and over again. I don't know if this is plain stupidity or trying to profit from leveraged shorts (which is tremendous stupidity), but either way it is pathetic.

I see the shitcoin thing mostly similar to the dotcom bubble.

Bitcoin is like the money version of the internet, the store of wealth, the indicator, driver.

Every shitcoin that has come along is like another domain relating to the internet, rather than have much of a purpose,
and a bunch of domain squatters are trying to sell them to you for too much money.

Are you sure you don't want "colaisreallynice.com"? Only $1000 today.
Or how about a bag of 2000 Doge coins? Only 5 billion get added each year but don't worry about that.

OT: So out of all the Amazon packages I've ordered all last year and this year, I'd say at least 1 in 5 has either had some multi-day delay. In some cases a week longer. A few have been lost completely in the mail somewhere.

Remember that one time, all through 2016-2019, when Jeff Bezos was out there promising that his company could achieve 24 hour delivery? Even 1 hour delivery?

That Amazon would create a Pharmacy division and deliver critical medications within 24 hours?

Haha haha hahahahaaha!!!! What a joke!

Suck it, Jeff Bezos you fkn narcissist! You get an F.

"So, what is JEFFxELON?
Fully Community Driven Meme DeFi Tokens on BSC Smart Chain. It is a competition of new tokens VSJEFF and VSELON - the world's first Marketcap competition, paying tribute to both billionaires Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk. Both Coins are Audited! The unique idea behind this is to solve the fight by the community, who will be the next most popular meme token. You can buy VSJEFF or VSELON token and take part in this competition. Every time someone buys one or another token, the Marketcap of them becomes bigger - that's how the community can decide who is the most popular one. With such an unseen idea, this has the potential to be the next Safemoon. Every day we will AirDrop $500 worth of CryptoCurrency on our Telegram Group. Yeah, the new crop of mETH heads are gonna shit their pants when ETH returns to below $1000 at some point.

Which it absolutely will.

That's what I said to my friend when the meme coin went over 400 sat, predicted bitter tears once it goes back to 30 sat.
