OT: It's like they are already low-key telegraphing to the world what their next "global plan-tastrophy" is going to look like:

EXCLUSIVE IMF, 10 countries simulate cyberattack on global financial system
https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/exclusive-imf-10-countries-simulate-cyber-attack-global-financial-system-2021-12-09/

Quote
The narrator of the film in the simulation said governments were under pressure to clarify the impact of the attack, which was paralysing the global financial system.

"The banks are appealing for emergency liquidity assistance in a multitude of currencies to put a halt to the chaos as counterparties withdraw their funds and limit access to liquidity, leaving the banks in disarray and ruin," the narrator said.

The participants discussed multilateral policies to respond to the crisis, including a coordinated bank holiday, debt repayment grace periods, SWAP/REPO agreements and coordinated delinking from major currencies.

So a world wide cyber attack crisis requires the coordinated response of global emergency liquidity (money printer go moar trillions $$$ brrr), debt moratoriums, and global bank holidays. Gee, who woulda thunk it?  Roll Eyes

Remember Event 201, anyone?   Wink

My moms side of the family were country folk.  I used to visit my grandfather in rural NC and we would take a couple cane poles for fishing.  We fished in a creek on his property, but that was on the edge of his neighbors property.  My grandfather, a man of few words pointed out a post with a purple top and asked me if I knew what it meant.  Nope, I said.  And he told me, it's a friendly way to warn people "if you go on that land they'll shoot ya" (the way my grandfather said it was more like "shoochee" lol).

Interesting. I had not heard of that one (nor ever seen any).

BTW, is it just me, or is reddit really so messed up and poorly designed for browsing posts? I just hate it every time I visit. I find it hard to navigate...

I don't get reddit. Threaded posts are randomly hidden so you need to click forward/back to read them. Just awful.

another bloody Monday morning wall report

#dyor

Bouncing off of 200ma support again..have to say things are not looking great for the bulls out there right now as steep holiday discounts reappear across markets today
D

The weekly chart is not much better and appears to be devolving into a chaotic mess as we approach 2022  No retest of teken sen short term resistance, kijun sen mid term support broken,  A weak span B(the bottom side of this green cloud we are hovering over, does not have much definition, meaning active price discovery is probably still at play in this range). Buy the dip? Not sure this is the time or place tbh. Reef all sails and heave to!

While I agree with the comprehensive conclusion of TA ("chaotic mess"), shouldn't this news be bullish (if it's for real)?

Testing the 47K support again. It seems that some entity is stubbornly selling despite the lack of bitcoin inflows to the spot exchanges. With each day, fewer and fewer people are caught by the fear of losing fiat money, i.e being weak hands. More and more people and institutions are realizing the power of hodling, including the miners. So, unlike 2018, any significant dip in the price is short lived and bought by people with Michael Saylor's understanding and motivation. It is true that we didn't see an exponential FOMO run this year, but still we are 14x from the local bottom in March 2019 and 7x from the median price around which Bitcoin was traded in 2018-2020. And this should make us happy, not sad. I don't know what the price will be tomorrow, next month or a year. But I know that better times are coming with more retail, institutional, governments etc. adoption. And this will affect the price in a positive way, for sure.

A small nit: whales selling into their own walls is not actually selling.

To the unsophisticated accidental tourist to WarFi, such as I am, the only possible counter-strategy is buying into the whales' low sells and erode their stash, sat after sat.

Does that make sense?
