Starting to eat away at that $24K resistance. I think we might see a quick hop up to $30K, but I’m still under the belief that a retest of the lows is possible when the mtgox coins are distributed. I would say that will be the time to buy, but it’s quite possible everyone else is thinking the same thing, so we’re seeing big money trying to front run retail’s re-entry by buying all throughout this dip.

Nobody really expects anything out of MtGox this year - don't believe anything you've read anywhere that tells you some kind of distribution / payout is imminent - it's definitely not.

wooooooo - I am a wee bit bothered by "definitely"

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence (or at least some evidence, more than a mere assertion of certainty), no?

My memory was that distributions could end up as early as late August.. but probably the earliest possible date for any kind of distribution based on the last notice that I read that came out of the MTGOX case would be early September.. so.. what is happening between September 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022?  nothing? absolutely nothing?

The extreme of this statement is coming off as potentially bettable, since it is so extreme and pretty straight-forward to framing of the matter

- no distribution this year?...ok..

absolutely - no distribution this year?...ok..

Is it bettable?  we would have to pinpoint the odds.. that would reflect the absolute certainty that you have expressed samson...

samson are you there?

Are you there?

Calling samson.

Let's discuss a possible bet.  Anyone? anyone?

After working 10 years in 9 to 5 job, I can say that if I have put same level of energy in my own business for 10 years definitely I would be at much better place

The difference of course being, running your own business is not 9 to 5 hours.
It usually requires much more effort, more hours and greater responsibility.
Your successes are yours, the profits (and losses including bankruptcy) are yours, your fuckups are yours, the buck stops with you.
Even if you don't get rich, just being your own boss and having control over your life puts you as you said at a much better place.
If the business is something you are passionate about, the hours and effort won't seem like work.
The satisfaction gained from running your own business sees many continuing to work well past normal retirement ages, while for 9 to 5 employees retirement cannot come soon enough.
Maybe Bitcoin can eventually help with getting your own business started.

I had an account at Mt Gox as did many others on WO at the time. I fortunately got my coins out before withdrawals were stopped. So most recipients of the distribution are Bitcoiners like us who would just add the coins to our wallets rather than rush to exchange them for ever devaluing fiat currency. A proportion will sell with the larger transactions done OTC. I think this event has been long priced in and at most will be a blip in Bitcoins history.

Of course both business and job differ in terms of Risk involved. While there is zero risk in job (you get your pay regardless of how much company earns or lose), in your own business you have to take the risk and it can swing in both directions. Return is fixed in job (pay) while in business it can be beyond your imagination or other way around.
I am in bitcoin for quite sometimes but I am doing job also. May be with time I can quit job provided I am 100% sure that I can earn enough with it to feed myself and my family.

I think you've implemented a good thing so far. Because I am also doing my own work out there to support my family and myself while investing through Bitcoin understanding the risks. In essence every job has risks and everyone needs to understand it very well because that is to avoid them from losses that can come suddenly if someone is not careful or careless.
