Just wondering, if you are trading on Bitstamp etc,  do you need to wait for confirmation (n-blocks)   before you can trade bough bitcoins?
Or are tthey instantly available, like with altcoins trading?

I do not know of, nor believe in, any alt exchg which allows trading without multiple confirms.  If there were one, it would go broke faster than a really fast thing.

So, I'm noticing a pattern here.

Blip of volume = great excitement, talk of trains, rockets and 'da moon'
BTC rises $10 to $20
Everyone here proclaims "this is it" and "confirmed"
BTC sinks back $10 to $20
Everyone here conveniently forgets what has happened and blames Chinese/Russians/IRS/bears/aliens/JorgeStolfi until next blip.

This sounds as much fun as watching rugby.

I don't know why people waste their time in here analyzing every price movement when the 4 hour trend is opposite of the 1 day trend. This is a consolidation. This is your chance to take a break and go outside. Once it's resolved and the 4 hour trend is the same as the 1 day trend, then you can begin trading again.

Since I am taking this so genuine excitement so seriously... I just bought .65 BTC for shits and giggles and to boost off the rocket-cat, a little bit.
