Jesus. Two pages of going on about GPUs and not one locomotive?

We're still a long way from CCMF.

Maybe after $60k.

Indeed we’re still in recovery mode

I think they'll first do a major bull trap (sell the ETF news), before eventually reversing course and plowing onward and upward.

I’m surprised a bull trap hasn’t occurred yet. Someone must be buying a ton of BTC right now. This is bigger than a Microstrategy buy. I would speculate a Saudi Fund or maybe a country like Argentina or even a company like Apple. I’m in full spectator mode seeing what happens next. I’ve got a Bitcoin ticker going in my house now.

A bull trap wouldn't happen until after all the ETFs get approved....so early next year.

Either that, or Gary punts again on the very first ones just to be a dick (and to benefit his shorting buddies), sending bitcoin down.

I think a bull trap can happen at any time. But I think if anything, we will see a bear trap before the ETF approval. From a whale perspective, it would make more sense to scare the shaky-hands into selling their Bitcoin just before the ETF's start boosting the Bitcoin price.

down to 30k-35k

Or up to 50k-55k.

We're still correcting from last year's steep dip.

2024 has been one big correction.

I think a lot of people don’t realize this. My personal belief is that if FTX didn’t defraud everyone out of their Bitcoin and pump everyone’s shitcoins then the price of BTC likely would have gone up as high as $140,000 and would have bottomed around $60,000. So while we may be in a bull market now, we should have never gotten this low in the first place.

Eventually we will get there, regardless of any such obstacles. It is just going to take a bit longer now. I can wait.

When I think back and the whole journey since I’m a bitcoiner …

Many know my story but when my friend showed me BTC and told me to buy/keep/hodl it.
I knew he would explain me everything a long the way.
But at the very beginning he said you just buy BTC and you hodl it everything in between is noise that you just ignore.
I think that’s the best advice for almost everybody.

An entire year to wait for finding out what they have instore for their fanbase!

Probably closer to 2 years... They will likely release it in the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2025.

GTA - Nov 1997
GTA II - Sept 1999
GTA III - Oct 2001
GTA IV - Apr 2008
GTA V - Sept 2013

I do remember seeing someone playing the first GTA on a computer in college and thought it was hilarious... Carjacking cops? Running over pedestrians & getting points for it? Finally you could be the bad guy in a video game, and it was funny as fuck.

Life is a series of Grand Theft Autos.

People are eager to play Grand Theft Auto VI and I'm eager to see Bitcoin above $120k. I will definitely play GTA VI if Bitcoin crosses $120k price value but I don't really care if that games takes 2 years or 6 years to be released but I do care about Bitcoin's price.

I concur, filtering the noise is one basic psychological strength to hodl for long.

One truth in life is that people hear what they want to hear. I offered to sell a friend BTC and he immediately used it to buy one of the shittiest of shitcoins that someone else had told him he'd 'get rich quick' with.

I also learned back in the days when it was common to pass a little around just for fun not to have people install a wallet on their phone and trust that they'd hear when you told them to make sure they backed it up. I'm sure my experience was not uncommon.

GTA 6. Not until 2025.  WTF?!
Hopefully BTC is over $200,000 by then.
200k btc would give you plenty of time to game me thinks
I hope to see some missions about BTC and some guys mining BTC that you have to support. Or also you having a mining BTC business in the game.
Sure does feel like the sky is the limit right now doesn't it? Shooting through $42k all the way up to $44.3k yesterday like a weapon in old GTA.
Think the hacking group who released the trailer got people to buy more BTC and got the real message at the end of it!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5347904.msg63278182#msg63278182
Some interest geared towards the video game community when it came after a wait of over 10 years with the most grueling anticipation ever for a release in the history of the industry.
You know it was Grand Theft Auto VI having over 86 million views after only 21 hours of it being released but a hacking group put it up on the platform X 15 hours before it was going to be officially released.

They even included a jovial message at the end of the trailer across the game logo:

https://bitcoinist.com/gta-vi-trailer-leaked-early-giant-buy-btc-caption

https://www.bitcoininsider.org/article/234974/gta-vi-trailer-leaked-early-giant-buy-btc-caption
There will certainly be something tied into cryptocurrency within the game.
Whether that be for NFTs, WEB3 form or a payment system for playing or even missions involving bitcoin within the game itself.

Life is a series of Grand Theft Autos.
Every review of the trailer video I had watched thus far are stating it will be a Q1 release due to the fiscal year numbers they would need to do before those quarters if they want to cash in bigger before that years holiday buying season (offering discounts for black friday/christmas/boxing day sales) where they would take in even more in profits to report before 2025 ends.
With this year already nearly ending there is a year left until that 2025 year release date then a few months into that year til it drops on the masses.

There is this video I had watched yesterday on the hacking attack which brought all those leaks back in August of this year.
It was done by a 17 year old hacker who used an amazon firestick to get into the companies database to get their files and blackmail the company before this trailer was released:
Grand Theft Auto VI's $2,000,000,000 Scandal
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qS_4O7SFkFA

Very interesting watch which shows you how Teapotuberhacker did it with infiltrating their Slack channel all while being under surveillance by the UK authorities from a previous cybercrime he committed within a hacking group of teens who hacked into Sony, Apple and other companies.

I think the hardest part for newcomers is the first bull run followed by a hefty correction.  It's hard to deal with the "I'm a genius" followed by the "shit I fucked up" roller coaster of emotions.  Many of those newcomers sell and call it a loss.  Some of the newcomers tough it out and live to see the next bull run with newfound confidence in the bitcorn.

At least, this is my personal expierence. That first bear market after I started buying was rough but, I persisted and had faith in what BTC stands for.  All of the other bear markets after that had zero effect on me.  In fact when ever I saw BTC vs USD declining my biggest stressor was not having as much dry powder as I wanted to stack sats at a discount.

I only have a few friends and colleagues that understand Bitcoin.  The others I've spoken to still have no clue and make comments like "You still have that Bitcoin? I heard it went down pretty bad" or "I heard it's going up again".  Many of these folks are ones who bought 7 or 8 years ago, panic sold, never looked back.  I honestly don't even try to talk to new people about it anymore because I've come to realize not everyone will understand and not everyone is cut out for short term emotional roller coasters.
