5 straight days of 115+ in Los Vegas setting a new record. For those that don't do f it is over 46.1 c.

"Even by desert standards, the prolonged baking that Nevada’s largest city is experiencing is nearly unprecedented, with forecasters calling it “the most extreme heat wave” since the National Weather Service began keeping records in Las Vegas in 1937."

All info  above is from the link.

I was in Vegas in 1979 and the outdoor pool had a meter reading 117 f. which at the time was the record.

but its a dry heat.  Wink

I live in somewhat of a similar area and while it is hot no doubt, it really isn’t all that bad for the desert. I remember about 10 years ago there was a summer where the temperature never dropped below 100 degrees for like 6+ weeks. While the highs are attention grabbing, the lows currently are barely above 80 degrees. So I can say as someone who lives in the desert, these “record setting” highs are a joke. If I can open the windows in my house at 4am, it is nowhere near record setting heat for the summer. Just my $0.02.

Last edit: July 12, 2024, 03:13:53 AM by JayJuanGee

Germany continues - down to 19K bitcoins now.

ETFs inflows continues, $216 million in inflows yesterday.

EDIT: Down to 13K now.
"In the past hour, they have sent another 2000 BTC ($117.3M) to Coinbase, Kraken and 139Po.

They now have 13,360 BTC ($784.96M) remaining - that’s 26.8% of the Bitcoin originally seized from Movie2k."

Kind of shows how retarded (or is it desperate?) the German government seems to be, including that their attempt at dumping is not likely even close to as successful as they might have hoped it to be -  I mean that is if they really thought that their relatively ant-sized dumpening was going to really do much of anything meaningfully negative in regards to the BTC price?

Hope springs eternal though, no?  Maybe there are some more dumps to come from some other entities in order that there might be a Plan B in the event that Plan A has not seemed to have had worked out as well as hoped.. if any of us might be reading this situation correctly?

I never knew Paashaas sold some of his stash.
I'm sure he won't want to be reminded of it and I'm sorry to hear it, especially as a fellow long eared mammal.

In "times like these," at least you guys seem to have a couple things in common.  hahahahaha

Being bearish doesn't mean i've sold part of my stash..

Jezus christ i'm not that retarted.

JayJuanGee is lying making false accusations.

How could it be lying?  or "false accusations" when there is really no way to know such a thing in the first place.  Anybody should know that.  Don't you not no nuttin?

I think that I would characterize some of my assertions as speculation and/or reasonable inferences.. .but hey whatever, you can feel however you want to feel in regards to my largely ongoing assertions in that direction - that I have largely been coming out with variations of such assertions of your selling some or all of your coins (though I have probably never really completely thought that you would have sold all of your coins, even though sometimes it might not hurt to assert the possibility of such, just in case) since around January/February, when I recall that you first started whining about the seeming inevitability of BTC's need to "revisit" lower prices, such as lower $20ks in your earlier posts on the topic, but at least in more recent posts, you have vaguely suggested higher level BTC prices for such proclaimed inevitable price drops. Gotta give you that much. #nohomo   Wink Wink

and for sure, some day (maybe sunday?) you are going to end up being correct.... It is just not easy to say when you are really clearly and unambiguously going to be able to say "I told you so," and laugh in our faces, even though maybe you would like to count our recent "so far" drop down to $53,550 (in the past week-ish) as a kind of "I told you so" moment?  -  even though some of "us" (including yours truly, if I am not going to far into Royal we territory?) are not likely buying those kinds of claims if you were going to be running some victory laps.  jajajajajaja presuming that you are able to run.   Tongue Tongue

The part about not being "that retarded," I am surely glad to hear it - that supposedly, even you have limits.

...you said something about selling some of your cornz, so hopefully you don't turn into another Paashaas..

JayJuanGee is lying making false accusations.
What?!??
I thought everything Jay says on this here famous thread is the irrefutable gospel truth.

Apparently, uie-pooie are (or would it be "is?") not the ONLY one.

Go figure.

In udder wurds, join your righteous place in the long-eared mammal club.  Sounds like a funzie-like place to hang out, and through such "hanging out" maybe you might discover a way to use your emptied-room attic, or your bitcoin (and perhaps other coins? since sometimes you have some wee bit of difficulties staying focused) breezeningway and your perhaps challenges (or unwillingness or refusal) to make (or identify?) proper cornered edges in that thingie-ma-jiggie that you seem to have had labeled as a purported "house?"

Speaking of hot areas in the USA:

Benji Gregory dead at 46: Former ALF child star died in car alongside his service dog in Arizona bank parking lot due to 'suspected heatstroke'

I loved ALF growing up.  Cry

In the UK it's been one of the wettest years from what I can remember.
In fact much of north-western Europe has sucked due to winds from the north.

Interestingly the eco warrior grifters can use anything to further their Greta grift:
It's cold & wet: That's the warm air conveyer belt system shutting down due to climate change
It's super hot (UK has been hotter than Tenerife at times during the summer last several years): See, climate change.

Such a load of horse shit.

It's been hellishly hot in parts of Europe for a week now, and the temperatures are over 40 degrees Celsius, and as things stand for now, there is no indication when the colder air will arrive. There have been heat waves before, but never this long-lasting and pronounced.

Luckily, for people in Europe, they have constant electricity and cooling systems that could keep them cool in their homes and in their vehicles during these very hot periods.

If there was epileptic power supply, it would have been more terrible.
