Do you guys think the crash has something to do with Iran/Israel (supposedly) about to go at each other's throats?

Bitcoin dngaf about them all this time, why would it care now?

NASDAQ futures are down -5% you decide if this is a coincidence or correlation

Do you guys think the crash has something to do with Iran/Israel (supposedly) about to go at each other's throats?

I don't know how they will hold each other's necks when they are about 900 km away from each other - so apart from placing bombs under each other's beds (in which the Israelis are obviously much more inventive), they can attack each other with drones and rockets - in which the Israelis are once again at an advantage due to far more advanced technology and help from the US, which has already sent additional ships to the region.

This crash is just another in a series of results of human greed (the majority) and the ability of the minority to liquidate them in their positions.

Crypto-tracked futures saw over $1 billion million in liquidations in the past 24 hours amid a market sell-off, with ether futures recording $304 million in liquidations.
Over 200,000 traders were liquidated, with the largest single liquidation order worth $27 million on Huobi.

Apologies if someone has already posted it.

Any more bright ideas, Mr Jerome Powell?

 Roll Eyes

To be fair this probably has a little more to do with the Japanese central bank.

US stock market was already crashing on Friday. He would definitely have had early access to the job data that caused that.

They're just behind the curve all the time.

People have been saying "we are never going to see zero percent interest rates again"

I'm pretty sure that's where we will be headed towards eventually.

This Japanese thing started last week though. Powell of course has completely fucked up as well, but it's a team effort.

100% agree with you on the zero percent interest rates. In hindsight I think that will sound as stupid as the "higher for longer" crowd.

powell crashed the market on purpose. if you look back and read what i have said i mentioned more then once he was going to crash the market.

Was just thinking that Saylor might actually buy a bottom instead of a top for a change. If he goes through with the 2 billion purchase that is.

silver down 4.9%
gold down 2.3%
btc down 15.1%
various other digital coins down eth for one is down 21%
japanese market down 12%
us markets down. nasdaq minus 4.9% dow minus 2.7%

the fed got its crash.

lets see how this plays out.

@ jjg maybe i cash my ibonds and get some coin.

so this is pretty much what the fed worked to do.

hint the fed never does a soft landing 🛬 they raise rates then go flat til markets crash.

this is a good time to have some cash for coins.

Isn't it Gary's fault for everything, at least when it comes to Bitcoin? No, it's Powell's fault in the end though Grin

The raise rates then go flat no cutting rate pattern crashed us in 2008 and in 2024  it is intentional on the feds part.

I have analyzed it and they simply do this for other sectors. (long term care insurance sector) usa long term care insurance companies are required to hold the payments in bonds.

when rates drop they deter towards bankruptcy when bonds go up they make out.

That is a 6 trillion dollar pile of cash in us bonds.  It plays a role in what happens.

there is more than that .

the good thing is my stack is bigger.
