I am not in finance, but some well known Wharton prof agrees:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obvGMaxS7mY

WE need to be at 3.5-3.75% short term rate already
The (FED) fell behind again.

I posted earlier basically the same notion (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg64395117#msg64395117).

EDIT: nice pop in btc to 56.18

The world is in shambles, the Pakistanis in Briton are rioting, stabbing native Brits. the Houthis are attacking Egyptian ships headed for Israel, Israel and Iran are likely to start WWIII any moment...

But I'm pissed because I thought the dip was at 64K and spent my budget for the month a couple of days ago.

Deadpool Wolverine

Gave me a sprankle of joy today

I really want to see that but I boycott Hollywood, so I have to wait until I can pirate a decent WebRip with Chinese subtitles.

Well, we haven't had a proper Black Monday for a while. I guess we were due.

This feels like a proper correction. Wew lads!

Im waiting for correct time to place 100x leverage up, Dont call me crazy. Just 10K. Smiley

44K is my guess but ready for flash kind of 38K. what are your opinions? Serious  input please.

My input is..

wow!!!

Looks like someone is going to be a millionnaire soon, from a mere injection of $10k, all you need to do is double from what ever is your entry price.

Pick as low as you can, so that it is easier to double it.  That's my protip.   Not that I have ever done anything like that before.

Don't matter the ENTIRE World is having you as the most ignorant and stupid people of all our counted time for giving ANY Money into Bljatcoin.

Why?

Look at yourself

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSTtLWpM3uU

Just like in Germany when you lose your driving license and you have to pass an literally named IDIOTEN TEST .. there will be something in the future like it with the question in it : Have you bought Bljatcoin in the past ? The way and depending on the answered , your ticket to the Citadel will be processed on the answer you have provided.

Let's see.  What kind of a budget should I give you?

Let's say $50 per week.

You are getting close to your 4-year anniversary in regards to your forum registration, so usually that would be a whole accumulation period for normies.. ..

Just think about it.

Maybe you are not a very well to do person, so that is why I am thinking of giving you a $50 per week budget, so if you had been accumulating $50 per week of bitcoin since your forum registration date, by now you would have had invested $10k in to bitcoin and you would have nearly 1/3 of a bitcoin.. .that would be 0.32175 BTC (current value of about $18k).. not exactly rich, but an 80% appreciation over the amount invested, and maybe you could find a job to increase your income.

Of course, you have the supposed Gox coins that you supposedly lost, and we know that might be your more appropriate date for starting accumulation based on your prior complaining about it.. so if we use the Gox date of march 1, 2014 as your starting accumulation date, you could have had bought $20 per week of bitcoin and you would have had invested a similar amount.. close to $11k, but you would have had accumulated nearly 9 BTC..

So, it is time in the market that is likely more important, which seems to be part of the justification that many of us frequently suggest to get started in bitcoin as soon as possible, rather than diddly daddlying around, and also try to guard your coins, too.

@ jjg maybe i cash my ibonds and get some coin.

Right now, I would not claim to know  - even though so frequently bitcoin seems better than cash, but you have to have cash too..  You have to have both and you have to figure out your ratios.. especially if you are elderly like you are.. and yeah, do you really have a 4 year time horizon on any of your bitcoin investments or are you just trying to trade, and sell your IBONDs to buy bitcoin as a short-term trade.. I don't believe in those kinds of ways of allocating into bitcoin..  .and part of my problem with your pumping that IBOND shit in 2022 was that you were pumping it over bitcoin when bitcoin was below the 200WMA by around anywhere between 10% and 30% depending on which of your posts we refer to.. and the IBONDS seems so clearly a sign of US Govt. then desperation to get people into buying their shitty-ass debt.... so I am not sure if your problem is resolved by selling the IBonds you bought in 2022 and buying bitcoin with those proceeds.. and currently BTC is about 43% above the 200-WMA.. which surely seems like reasonable BTC prices... .. .. and surely, I already mentioned that I consider bitcoin to be a 4-10 year investment for anyone accumulating it (or considering bitcoin an investment rather than a trade), which likely would need to be the case if you were to be considering to reallocate into BTC and out of IBonds under our current market dynamics.

This is exactly what happened to Bitcoin overnight.  Thankfully, we get three attempts.

I hate to admit that I was looking at his junk, but it seems that he was very close to making it. Yes, he had a very slight brush with the bar, but his junk got caught on the bar, which seems to have had been what caused the bar to actually fall.  That's my reading...and somewhat sorry, but not sorry to admit it.

The moral of the story might be that it does not always pay to have junk.. and maybe he should have worn tighter undies.. to keep his junk more squished in and maintaining more of a feminine look, rather than showing off (I am not jealous at all).

Why the price is just bouncing back? If nothing has changed..... Very strange.... Super short bulltrap?
Bouncing back like nothing happened ….?? LoL

Gosh I hope.

That would be something.

Volume spike hit this morning while I was sleeping. Looks like a good indicator of the bottom, at least for now. Congrats to those who scooped some coins up below $50K. I think looking back it will prove to be a good entry point for what is coming over the next 6-12 months.

I would surmise that you must have bought back in..  (referring to whatever you sold at $67k-ish)...

Just the way that mine are set up in groups, I had some buys in the lower $51ks and then a couple hit in the mid $49ks.. which was kind of lucky that some of the orders ended up hitting and some of them didn't.. I have been frequently having orders coming very close to hitting, but not hitting.. so kind of luck of the draw to some extent.. and also one of the risks when the spreads are tending towards getting wider.

I think that the context of those particular statements of mine have to do with our finding ourselves in a world in which we are following Philipma for our investment advice.

It just seems a bit scary for me.  And, yeah, maybe it is just me?  Perhaps? Perhaps?

Maybe others here won't mind so much, but Philip was the one suggesting the possibility of such a world.

Nasdaq futures shows a 4.4% dump.

Expect a major Wallstreet cascade that will likely drag Bitcoin with it to $40k - $45k.

FED will anounce an emergency rate cut first and perhaps printing more dollars to save markets from implosion, actually they are forced to something.

Stocks and Bitcoin rebounds.
Interesting, but also notice resistance at $50k.

But it is called "support" when we are talking about prices below the current price, and it is called resistance when referring to prices above the current price.

My mistake, I meant support, and happy it held so far.

Ah. Lophophora williamsii. Never heard that term for it before.

It used to be cheap and plentiful but that was a half a century ago. My buddy bought 1.5"-2.5" dried buttons for $0.15 each in New Mexico and mailed them to Toronto strung as necklaces. He sold them to me for $0.25 each. USD and CAD were pretty much at par back then. A typical button weighed about a quarter ounce and was considered a standard psychedelic dose. Once I ate 15 whole buttons and crossed over into a different reality.

Most so-called mescaline tablets were bogus. I could tell the real synthetic mescaline by its flavor. It tasted like natural peyote even though it was a white powder. A tiny amount (an eighth of a tablet) gave you a pleasant invigorating high without being psychedelic.

Those were the days.

Not fun... but there can be some senses of relief when it feels as if it might be over.

It can still be difficult to know when it is over, absent our returning back up.  Retracing around 50% of the dip (or coming halfway back up) might not be a bad place to be... yet I have difficulties feeling confidence that it is over... yet.. .. probably still a bit traumatized.

our next prez?

I am not sure if that is a great comparison point, Phil..

From the information that I currently have, Kennedy does seem the best out of three candidates, so yeah, he does not get too much attention, except for some stupid-ass hit pieces from time to time. so the mainstream seems to be a bit worried about him.

If the Democratic ticket were to have an actually fair vote in regards to who might come to the top of the ticket as picked by the democratic voters, he might be able to beat Kamala for the top of that particular ticket.. but no the democrats are not going to do that, including what they seemed to have had done in their selection of Biden in 2020.. ...

yet the mere fact that the democrats have engaged in some weird selections of their top of the ticket (instead of Sanders).. .... does not also mean that Trump should have had stayed in the presidency, including his criminal attempts to influence (and likely successful influence) of facilitating an attempt of the violent overthrow of a democratic process.. which truly seems ridiculous that Trump is even eligible to run for an elected office (and yeah he ONLY wants the Presidency since he does not actually believe in governing or any role of government, so some folks just love Trump for his destructive abilities, which is strange in itself).

And are "we" getting a wee bit off track in this line of discussion?

Surely, over the years of our interactions, i seem to know you better than I do Kennedy.. not that I am claiming to know you very well... so my somewhat passive aggressive suggestion that I would not want to follow you for economic advice has quite a few pieces of your history that cause me to question some of your going forward advice based on some of the pieces of information that I have already seen.

I doubt that Kennedy is going to have time to post in this forum.. so how I am going to get to know him at a similar level at least as I kind of got to know you in terms of some of you bitcoin-related and/or macro-economic and even financial management topics.. and I don't consider all of your ideas bad.. just some of them... and then sometimes what I perceive to be wrong application of some theories.. .but you are still free to do what you like.. oh yeah, and sometimes you seem to want to urge folks to follow you,

....and even you know how insistent you were on certain predictions that you make from time to time, I find some of that problematic when it comes to cashflow management and even allocating investments and/or risks.  I cannot really stop you from being you, but surely you know the expression that familiarity breeds contempt, and there might be some aspects of our relationship that has gone down that road, and I am not even saying that I don't like you since I would probably grab a beer with you if we knew we were going to be in the same neighborhood.
