I never 'use' anything...don't want to mess with my brain.
Maybe I am missing out, but it is what it is, sorry to be a bit squarish  Smiley.

I am cautiously optimistic here re btc, but wonder if a 'second shoe" would drop (which may or may not even be bearish).
Still, we might get an "extended" to the right "r" instead of a classical "v".

There's a high level of FUD going around in the crypto media. Especially, FUD about our lil fiend.

Cointelegraph, The Block, U.Today, all talking about 49.5k or similar. Bear market incoming. Many plebs will be shaken. I resent the media.

They serve their purpose of shaking out weak hands and pressuring leveraged longs. They also keep people informed about potential dangers. For example, if you only listened this the folks in this thread, you’d have been called crazy for selling at $70K. It’s good to have different perspectives so you can evaluate for yourself what the likely outcome will be.

Let me use the words of Public Enemy's Flava Flav:

Don't believe the hype!

I'm always amazed how people always say acid and Mesc are the same.

Basically its like telling me you never did Mescaline.

That's similar shit like the lightheads that claimed that Psylocybe mushrooms and LSD or LSA (a.k.a. Morning Glories) are the same.
It's all different. If you know how to threat them, you can even wash the stuff that makes you vomit out of Morning Glory seeds prior to fabricate a fine, psychoactive schnapps out of them. These, like Mesc and (real) Ayahuasca are exceptional drugs most people never experienced on this planet.

Quote
I can't even do Acid anymore, last 2 time were near death, one for me and one for someone else.

Acid is fucking dangerous, Mesc is not.

Me too. I claim to know what you mean. My last trip was the most critical one. My brain was fucked. It kinda sucked up all of mankind's sadness. It was my fault, i didn't respect the set/setting rules at all, tried to entertain my miserable being after a huge, emotional loss. That didn't go well.
After all, and after slowly working myself out of depression and anxiety over the course of a decade, i had emerged to Me, v2.0. The person that i experience as myself, until today.
All i know is that i never want and need a LSD trip again, ever. It has taught me the lesson of my life.

Yeah this was what happened to me during the FTX crisis
Seeing news especially on coinmarketcap that Bitcoin is getting to $12K to $10K made me sell what I bought around $22K for $17K.
Now look how high it rose last year.
Then I usually took them as experts and more experienced due to the confidence and surety they have while making their statement
Unfortunately I never knew about BTT then.

Yeah I guess you right a different perspective is always welcomed but not when you planning on holding for a long term.

That’s when you should appreciate them the most. Lower prices are what everyone should want unless you’re in a position where you need to sell some. I underestimated how fast Bitcoin would go from the teens to the thousands. Maybe if there was more media FUD in Bitcoin back then (hard to believe honestly) I would’ve had more time to stack at lower prices.

Unfortunately it's not for budding investor
I don't appreciate the FUD then because it cost me alot since I was easily influenced by my lack of knowledge and weak will.
But now though I hate seeing Bitcoin fall
I can't deny I enjoy opportunities in been able to buy at a discount

And in regards to stacking more at lower price, There are individuals that still wouldn't buy Bitcoin if it falls to $20K
They would be waiting for lower.
You been able to stack boils down to your experience, knowledge, and belief in the system.
Which many newbies lack.

In the U.S. if you are a long term hodler, selling BTC @ $70K (even if you could time that top just right) and then trying to buy back in the ~$50K-ish range still makes zero sense.

You still have to pay Uncle Sam 15% of that transaction (long term cap gains, depending on tax bracket). So you'd need to buy back more like in the $40K-ish range or below that to even make a decent profit on the transaction. Then you have broker fees both ways on top of that.

Simply not worth it for many of us to try and time the market.

HODL is best solution.
