@sminston_with Smitty's Bitcoin Retirement Guide: e-Book Edition 📙 [...] XSo, according to this analysis, any coiner from 5 to 75 years old with 10 BTC can retire right now and live for the rest of their life by spending $100k / year (excluding taxes). Sounds very promising. Will make many wonder why they are still employed...

Think this might be good actually. Market inhaling for the next leg. RSI on the shorter timeframes now cooled off... Weekly still has some room to run. Hourly...

have fun, the current challenge ends on the 10th of may. Lets see who is the best trader here! -----------
I think next time it would be better if it's starts in usdt, so it won't bring about different capital due to Bitcoin volatility and registration time Everybody starts with same capital. there certainly where no weekend-pumps
I prefer a little quiet to a big dump. So a plus till the week starts properly. Say u're in a new city that doesn't accept the dollar, but you have enough money to buy 10 loaves of bread. What's better to take and why: a bread or your money? P.S. The person is hungry.
A lil self created riddle or question(anyone) for the Sunday.
No one else giving it a Go???

I am getting close to switching to knots. Much thought has gone into this.
All sides of this argument have their problems. But one is best. I am still not convinced totally.
I say all sides because there are more than two for sure. Simple proof:
1. Spam is going in anyway... Let's unfilter op_return which is better than bloating utxos 2. Filters work and we need to keep protecting the small node runners. 3. Theres nothing we an really do about this. Cross your fingers! Strategic reserve?
Going to do it on one node first.
* the majority are not even aware of this which makes them defacto #3. And unfortunately the submajority of those who DO know are also likely #3.

Thanks for an inspirational post. My father was a captain in the Canadian Army in WW2 (Med Corps psychologist) and was sent to the Netherlands at the end of the war to process shell-shocked fighters to determine if they were ready for reintegration into civilian society. He was overwhelmed by the level of gratitude displayed by the people there. It's nice to see that 80 years later people still remember. I'm not big on glorifying the military during times of peace but we Canadians are proud of our record of fighting despotism and the bullying of smaller countries by larger powers. Don't confuse politeness and peacefulness with cowardice or laziness.

@sminston_with Smitty's Bitcoin Retirement Guide: e-Book Edition 📙 The wait is finally over - you're going to want to bookmark this. - - - 🧵Thread Without detailing the exact instructions on how to use the guide, this time around, I will explain the important changes - and from there, please engage, share, and enjoy! 1) Updated Model : This is a critical solution, and I'll explain why. Rather than using the median (50th quantile) power regression model, as was used in previous versions, Smitty's e-Book uses the 5th quantile. Why? Statistically, theoretically, this ensures that 95% of the time the desired annual withdrawal rate (living/spending costs) will not need to be down-adjusted due to volatility - because by definition, only 5% of the price falls below this 'support' line (see my other models). Therefore, you should only expect to need to down-adjust roughly once in 20 years. This makes this e-Book version more conservative, while maintaining realism and (clearly) attainability of stacking targets (see the various pages). 2) e-Book Format: I'm only posting these to X for now; but since in the past there has been so much positive engagement, I wanted to keep the overall 'brand' while enhancing the stylings so that it feels like an easy mini reader for folks comparing spending/stacking scenarios for retirement. It is also high DPI, now with nice borders, headers/footers and even page numbers. Feel free to print out and make a physical copy, or choose your favorite scenario, laminate and post on the wall. 3) Table addition: I've been meaning to include this change for a while. Not all of us are graphic/visually inclined, and indeed many of us are table/spreadsheet inclined. Therefore, below the graphs, I added easy-to-read look-up tables which exactly map to the Retirement Years and Current Age from the graphs, along with exact color-matching according to Current Age. No more needing to follow lines and line intersections; should also help for the visually impaired. - - - As always, the key assumptions in the guide to remember: 1. *Assumed 7% annual inflation rate going forward (not easy to predict but historical expansion has been pretty close to this). 2. *Taxes not accounted for - tax policy is too variable and too liable to change in any given year - please do your own homework for your own situation. 3. *You're living to 100 (or at least planning your conservative BTC spend-down plan out to that age). - - - So, as always, flip through the replies in this thread, and enjoy the new tool! Helping you develop a better Bitcoin stacking target for life planning. XFancy...but easy to summarize: no matter what is your age, if you have about 10 bitcoins, you may retire or not work (as retiring at age 5 or 15 seems strange). EDIT ..and @AlcoHODL already said essentially the same before me, I just didn't notice at first, sorry.

Alright, test number two! You guys will have to register again, though... The following is a Bot of BTC/USD paper-trading (fake trading) You can also use it in the Telegram group community chat but try not to spam. The community chat is mostly for flexxing and announcing winners.Bot (for trading) --> Paper Trading BotGroup chat (for chatting, but you can also use the bot's commands in here too, but try not to spam) --> WO Challenge Community Chathave fun, the current challenge ends on the 10th of may. Lets see who is the best trader here!----------- Could you add a command to change our name, so the real telegram handle isn't shown? Opsec. Or maybe the /start command could take a parameter - that is, the user's nickname shown by the bot. Anything for you, pal. updated! - added /setnickname in case you wish to change your nickname, which will appear publically in /leaderboards and in /trades I think next time it would be better if it's starts in usdt, so it won't bring about different capital due to Bitcoin volatility and registration time Everybody starts with same capital.
Well, I think either way the price of Bitcoin fluctuates. If a user joins later and the price of BTC is higher than in the beginning, they will have the disadvantage of buying less Bitcoin with the same amount of USD. Maybe boasting about one's crypto wealth is not such a bright idea after all? Although I am worried as well. Someone finds out you or a family member have a few dozen thousands in some wallet, that would be enough for them to take your key from you by force, because that is way easier than robbing a bank. Interesting you mentioned this. I was about to go out to do my shopping and had on an old teeshirt I bought years ago that has BITCOIN and the logo splashed all across the front. And then I was like "ok wait, I better change my teeshirt. Maybe ten years ago cool... today? No way. I don't need to advertise to that dude with the 5$ wrench." <rummages through tee-shirts> "Lets see now...oh here we go ...this MasterCam one looks cool..." Like all these idiot influencers who like to flex online and pretend they are rich. Anyone who does a bitcoin flex is an idiot. You reap what you sew. I remember a time when WO wanted to wear their physical hats in the real world... That would have gone badly.

The gold re-evaluation thing as an accounting trick (without actually selling any), I saw it mentioned first just before Orange Man took office. I think it was Hayes's blog - one of my preferred sources for bitcoin relevant macro analysis - but I wouldn't bet my family jewels on that. At any rate, it's not a new idea, as it's been mentioned several times after Biden went to sleep.
In fact, I think that minerals that are naturally derived and have value are the real and reliable assets. Those that will never bankrupt you. The value of man-made assets (dollars, euros, dirhams, etc.) is determined by comparing them. This rule isn't applies to cryptocurrencies. They are completely operated in a free market system. It can make you very rich or very poor. So shouldn't we invest in any other currency, including Bitcoin? If we compare the price of gold with some cryptos, we will see,, In 2011, the price of gold per ounce was about $ 1800, which is worth $ 3350 in the current market. Again, in 2011, 300 Bitcoins (at an average price of $6) could be purchased for $1,800, with a current market value of $28,650,000. So, the capital of those who hoarded gold from 2011-2025 is 1.86 times the amount of money they hoarded. And the capital of those who hoarded Bitcoin is 15,916.6 times the amount they hoarded. [Note: The prices taken are not exactly flat rates] From the above, it can be seen that those who hoarded Bitcoin from 2011 to 2025 made a lot of profit in terms of investment, which is many times higher than the profit on gold hoarding. But hoarding Bitcoin was a risky business, which was not the case with gold. What do you think is the best investment? Bitcoin or mineral resources (Gold).
