Again, it becomes hard when losing one's mind to know what's real and what isn't. Is this one real? Sane people. Hello?

I was struck again by a thought that I've had so many times over the last 10+ years.  I find it kind of fun that it still amazes me when I see it even a little bit more deeply. I would like to say I've known this from the very beginning of my relationship with Bitcoin, but it took me a while to really get there.

Every single one of us on this forum and frankly on this earth have been born and have grown up in a system that is entirely upside down...  based on debt.

In fact, I believe that the amount of debt that the globe owes to the people who print the money is so large that it is equal to two-thirds of the actual real assets one can own like your land or home or car or the things that you eat or use. Money supply, financial derivatives, so much of our value is really negative value created out of nothing and owed to the person that created it.

But all of that equals your time, each breath you take, each thump of your heart is a little bit of you going out into the world and the things that you do with your time to make the world a better place, your work, your family, your faith, all of the things.

The banking cartels have claims on two-thirds of your breaths.

When you think about the system that man has created, you realize that it mathematically must continue to snowball towards more debt.  And this gives us the illusion that things that we consider that are important like our homes or our health care, maybe our educations, certainly our Bitcoin, are getting more valuable over time.  Everyone in the wall observer forum knows that's not really what's happening. We all know it's really exactly the other way around that the money is getting worth less and less.

But this mindset has invaded my mind so deeply that I can't stop measuring my value ( Bitcoin, land, heartbeats.) by the system that I grew up in.  Leaving that mindset is so hard.

As things are accelerating over the last, I don't know, 20, 30 years, people have begun to say it looks like a "controlled demolition' of the current financial system.

The light bulb that went on for me today is the realization that that is the best case scenario. That the very best that the people who hold the levers for the world system can do is the slowest controlled demolition possible, which is basically the US dollar.  They can't overcome that situation anymore than we could stop the earth from circling the sun.

Bitcoin is not a part of that system. It can invade that system, and it can be (artificially) priced by that system. But it is something completely and totally upside down from that system and arguably has never existed before in practice.

And so many more.people are realizing now that Bitcoin can do nothing other than replace that system over time..

We have a long way to go. We are nowhere close to where we are really going. It's still such a tiny number of people that understand what an absolute black and white change this new protocol is offering the world and not really just offering, but demanding from the world

So, as the price of Bitcoin measured in the old system goes up even more probably over the course of this year or two and then crashes again another 40-50%. And as the idea of a Bitcoin Treasury company burns out because it's only Really an arbitrage play on the two systems.. And then those companies see the rug pulled out from under them.  And as countries try to use things that are adjacent to Bitcoin to create things like stable coins. And we watch that succeed for a period of time. And then just like all the other Old system debt-based things, watch the rug get pulled out from under it again and again...

Those of us who really see what's happening will continue to be in the minority.  for quite some time.

It's humbling really.

Run a node. We have to keep the system decentralized.

@CryptoJelleNL
BTC has closely followed the global money supply for nearly 1.5 years.

Looks like the next leg higher kicks off soon.

This model, at least over the short term, is going to go down as one of the most accurate models in Bitcoin history. Even if it broke right here, that's crazy.

I will pretend not to have seen a fish holding a Pistol..

Quote
Pistol Shrimp: The Fastest Gun in the Sea.

Being called a shrimp doesn't exactly make you known for having sizable strength or an intimidating presence. But there's one little weird wonder of the sea — the pistol shrimp — that crushes the stereotype in a dramatic way. It's so powerful it not only shoots and annihilates its prey; it has thrown the U.S. Navy off track, landed a superhero role on Netflix and even helped researchers make strides in fighting climate change. Pistol shrimp, also known as snapping shrimp, earn their sea cred by creating something that's seemingly childlike and innocuous: bubbles. But these definitely aren't your ordinary bubbles — they make a sound louder than a gun and generate massive amounts of heat.

Pistol shrimp "shoot" these deadly bubbles to kill prey, jackhammer into rock to create burrows or protect said burrows from other, jealous shrimp. They have no need for a fancy holster or to stock up on ammo — their gun is built right into their one, oversized snapper claw that can grow to be half the size of their tiny body.

These sharp-shooting crustaceans are far from quiet — their bubbles have measured in at 218 decibels, which is louder than a speeding bullet. To us humans the sound isn't actually that loud, but that's due to the blast only lasting a tiny fraction of a second.

When the bubble pops, it generates heat that reaches 8,000 degrees Fahrenheit (4,427 degrees Celsius), four times hotter than lava. The heat dissipates at rapid speed so there are no lasting effects (except to the unfortunate small creature that felt its burn).

The Bullseye Pistol Shrimp.

Not a very exciting day for Bitcoin.  The only news I have really come across worth repeating is that Trump has officially filed for a Bitcoin ETF. Nice to know big things are still in the works. It seems like we’re going to hit a bit of a lull for a few weeks here while we wait for some developments on the tax code that are expected to be made before August.

After the kidnapping of a ledger founder a couple months ago (and his losing a finger) in France, a couple weeks ago the father of a crypto entrepreneur was kidnapped and then freed by police, and soon after the daughter of another one fought of criminals trying to kidnap her.

Scary times.

So far it seems that it has been "brains" hiring small time criminals, who are in way over their head, but if they hire professional people, it could turn ugly. For all we know it already happened and was kept secret by the victim...

Musk attacks the BBB

So the muskless trumpeter has made an enemy.

So with musk v Trump

Who will win out?

This should be a true battle royale .

I don’t know what comes of this but it does seem a little bit like Elon is playing with fire here. I took it as an opportunity to take profits on my Tesla stock. >40% after a couple months was enough to make me happy. Next Elon scandal I’ll buy back in again but I’m really eyeballing SpaceX stock…

Hopefully Trump ignores this and they both move on.
