I don’t know what comes of this but it does seem a little bit like Elon is playing with fire here. I took it as an opportunity to take profits on my Tesla stock. >40% after a couple months was enough to make me happy. Next Elon scandal I’ll buy back in again but I’m really eyeballing SpaceX stock… Hopefully Trump ignores this and they both move on.

Will be an interesting year.
Frankly I am stunned musk decided to tell the truth. About the bill.
Go back in time to Tricky Dick Nixon the last time the rich paid 50% tax.
It's about 55 years of tax discounts for the rich and the county is pushing 36 trillion debt soon to be 40trillion
Then the trumpeter defaults I figure 2027 or maybe early 2028.

M. Saylor produces another vehicle-STRD in addition to STRK and STRF. This guy explains: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xm5IpFFJfIcLooks tempting as a yield "machine" to collect a nice yield on current cash. The guy posits that SRTD "Ipo" would cover the coupon on STRF/STRK for many years. STRF has a 10% coupon and already popped from 85 to 106, which is lot for a bond. Saylor said at the conference that he superchared this tactic using AI for 95% of the 'content', then gave to the lawyers to polish the last 5%. I have to say..it looks impressive. Not a financial advice.

This has been known since the Roman times (and even before). In the first instance, some guy who was a protege of someone didn't become NASA head all of a sudden, but I digress.

I doubt that rich ever paid 50% or 70% Roosevelt and later tax. I think that there was an exception for re-investing into business, etc, etc This explains the complexity well; https://www.concordcoalition.org/deep-dives/issue-brief/historical-tax-rates-the-rhetoric-and-reality-of-taxing-the-rich/

Why would Elon "telling it like it is" stun you? He's always been blunt. It's a shitty bill and he's not the only one saying it but that's what you get with anything that goes through congress... big shitty bills, small shitty bills... pretty much just shitty bills and generally, you get that with a democratically elected government hell-bent on spending other people's money even before they can even earn it. Don't worry, you'll get to vote again someday.

After the kidnapping of a ledger founder a couple months ago (and his losing a finger) in France, a couple weeks ago the father of a crypto entrepreneur was kidnapped and then freed by police, and soon after the daughter of another one fought of criminals trying to kidnap her.
Scary times.
So far it seems that it has been "brains" hiring small time criminals, who are in way over their head, but if they hire professional people, it could turn ugly. For all we know it already happened and was kept secret by the victim...
There could be some PSYOP components to both the happenings and the publication of these kinds of matters. Scary times indeed. Solution: Stay anonymous Satoshi wasn't a fool for creating Bitcoin out of anonymity Are you going to become afraid to interact with people about bitcoin? If everyone is afraid and peer to peer transactions are not being carried out because too many folks are pussies, then bitcoin loses a lot of its power and its empowerment of normies. "They" want you ("us") to be scared, and seems like it is working. musk: has (or will have) dirt on everyone as basically everyones data that was ever entered anywhere into a government computer is being AI mined for dirt and other interesting oddities from when musks minions installing custom hardware/software in government system all over the joint. has almost as much money as God can shut down prolly 50% of USA gov and civilian internet from his control of starlink does cool drugs trump: can point at anyone and cause them to disappear can create retroactive laws has absolute immunity There are quite a few folks who have been surprised for how long they had been able to stay "a team," since they are both narcissistic drama queens. Trump needs a scapegoat too, and yeah, maybe he would not dare to bring charges upon Elon.. .. . .yet neither of them seem scared off by shit stirring. There may even be a bit of purposefulness to some of the drama, too.. but yeah, even drama can get out of hand.. It was like when I was in high school and several of the guys would be horsing around, and my cousin tended to stay out of the horsing around, and he would say, "I already know where that goes."

Bitcoin no longer need much publicity and interaction, we can't keep endangering our lives in our quest for a Bitcoin-friendly atmosphere. Better we wait for the appropriate time when we'll not longer be scared of being Bitcoin enthusiasts. "They" want you ("us") to be scared, and seems like it is working.
Yeah they do, but are we really scared? We are only "out of sight" not "out of mind"

Yeah they do, but are we really scared? We are only "out of sight" not "out of mind" I am not against each of us attempting to protect ourselves, yet at the same time, it seems to me that you are glossing over my point that relates to using bitcoin and even interacting with people who use bitcoin, which are good things. Bitcoin meet ups and other ways of interacting with our communities in bitcoin ways can also be good for each of us and good for bitcoin too. No one is forcing you. You do what you like, including if you want to stay quite about your bitcoin and ONLY perfrom KYC transactions through approved channels. That's your choice.
