I've spent my entire life hearing this sentiment.  Not sure what the solution is, but I doubt we're going to find it in my lifetime.  As it currently effects most of us, the market seems afraid to make a move up.  Everyone seems to be waiting and watching to find out how bad the response to Iran is going to get.  I would love it if this conflict was brought to a close as soon as possible, as it is throwing a wrench in the rally.  If we do get a positive resolution, I expect we'll see stocks and Bitcoin flying as trade agreements are certainly right around the corner as well.  As is a rate reduction, Bitcoin bill, & MSTR S&P inclusion...

Don't they just save the hashes of the passwords? I thought it would be standard procedure. I mean, since the 90s at least. WTF!?

They should be held accountable for that. Too many people rely on Google, Facebook and the like also for authentication on other services.

I wasn't able to read the linked article and haven't done any research on it myself other than reading the headlines.  I figured after seeing it on this thread I'd better not be negligent though so I just went ahead and updated mine.  I had honestly forgotten it and became reliant on my passkey and facial recognition, so I guess it was time to update anyway.  Hopefully it was just salted passwords or something else that the media has blown out of proportion.  I guess I could have Grok summarize but when I asked if I should change my password it said yes.

Have you guys seen this? KuCoin is now enforcing "dormancy fees for non-KYC accounts"
So either you are forced to do KYC or they take your money if you do not move it out of the exchange.

They have always being the forerunners of introducing scamming terms and conditions.
Many would still cooperate and not realised is high time they play it same and rely on self custody.

As if we needed another reason to hate centralized exchanges. CEXes are trying everything they can to take your money away from you.

Even more disgusting than Coinbase (government arm) or Mexc (Self-proclaimed No KYC exchange, that freezes your funds if you don't do KYC).

seems geopolitical chaos lost its power, or everyone has already locked in their Diamond Hands HODL mode

whatever, a 20% shake before a big run is not bad at all..

It also means endless printing incoming.

This will either be ended quickly with regime change in Iran... which will last a decade at most, or with the continuance of WW3 which we have been in since at LEAST 2019.

Unfortunately most of the future universes I see are aligned in some way or another with the latter scenario.

But I am a disaster of a human... what do I know?

PS.  Like all things of great gravity... it will not be linear.  And thus hopeful/pessimistic narratives will be born.  But they are only smoke.  The timeline is the timeline.  The challenge is divining the timeline.

By the way... That is NOT bearishfor bitcoin... I do not think.  Quite the opposite...  though perhaps a Pyrrhic victory ...

Because it is incredibly bearish for humanity.

That said... though we have not faced a combination of things like we see now.. we HAVE survived all the ones that came before.
