I have decided to take a leap into the hobby of carnivorous plants. I’m starting with a pitcher plant with the intention of growing some Venus flytraps if I’m able to keep the pitcher alive. anyone tasted Japanese blue grapes like Kyoho or Pione?

It's a very special aroma that no other fruit I tasted has.. except very ripe blue gooseberries. However their taste is not as perfect..


I must admit grapes are not that interesting as red meat... at least a try!

If those blue grapes were made into wine they would be almost as interesting as red meat.

Unfortunately that Japanese wine is quite sweet. But the special taste of the grapes is still there!

Perhaps if they used a more alcohol-tolerant yeast like a champagne yeast they could make a dry wine out of those blue grapes.

An added bonus would be the higher alcohol content.

I would be a definite buyer of a dry version... if that comes out I'm sure there will be a worldwide fanbase
