According to an AI 'Think Deeper' source:

Bitcoin plunged today because a mix of crypto‑specific shocks (forced liquidations and large sell orders), accelerating ETF outflows and a broader risk‑off move in markets - amplified by recent regulatory and liquidity concerns - triggered a cascade of stop‑losses and margin calls that pushed the price sharply lower this evening.

Technical triggers and large sell orders: When a big sell order or a cluster of stop‑losses hits, it can cascade through exchanges and derivatives books, creating a sharp, self‑reinforcing drop as automated systems and traders react.

Forced liquidations and leverage unwind: High leverage in derivatives markets means a relatively small price move can force margin liquidations, which then push the price further down; analysts point to large liquidation events as a key amplifier of the crash this month.

How those pieces combined tonight: Markets were already fragile after a steep pullback from October’s highs, so liquidity was thinner and stop‑losses were closer to market price. A large sell flow or a sudden spike in risk aversion can therefore trigger outsized moves.

My remaining silver is whaling. I sold some today  for over 1800 a kilo.

I am going for more dip.

That should be good for about 0.02 BTC or so at current dip price

I grabbed 0.0249 btc today

I am selling a second kilo of silver at 1800

I will hold rest of the cash for lower dips. about 1500 cash set for 3 buys at  85k 83k 81k

Phil - It's looks like you might get at last one, if not all three of those buy prices!

24 Hour volume (now at $55B) continues to grow at an alarming rate, I guess the sell orders are overwhelming the exchanges.

I miss the old lad that was Chartbuddy Avatar.

It was AI slop in the style of recently fashionable AI slop so I wouldn't sweat it too much.

Any way Bitcoin can come down. So it won't last long.

Bullish soon.

@zerohedge

Japanese bonds puking on renewed expectations of rate hike: Sends 2Yr JGB yield above 1% for the first time since 2008, and Nikkei tumbles. And since Bitcoin always correlates with anything that's down, we have a 4% dump in Bitcoin in Asian trading.

Haha, it really does seem that way doesn't it. I swear most Bitcoin investors are the biggest bunch of pussies around.

for now it looks like the usual Bart during sideway times to me

But maybe I'm just too much in denial that the bear market has begun..  I want these stupid 4 year cycles to end

Why?  From time to time, Bitcoin gets dumped on.... like right now.. in the past 7 hours. What do you expect to happen?

The BTC price falls until it stops falling.

I don't see any reason to get upset about it.

It seems that historically there have been many times that the BTC price has had ended up going down when longer term HODLers were preferring that the BTC price goes up.. but the price just has to play itself out.. and at a certain point the momentum will change back, yet we still cannot determine when the momentum will change back to UPpity.

I suppose at a certain point, there are no more sellers... yet if there is juice to be squeezed, then that juice will be squeezed as much as it can be squeezed and for as long as it can be squeezed..

I suppose that is a lesson.. On an individual  level what are we going to do?

Are we going to hold? no?  or we are going to buy some more coin, or maybe the worse case is that we are going to sell and expect to buy back cheaper.

I personally think either continue to buy more or to just hold for any of us who might have had run out of money.

Either we already sold some on the way up, and if we did not sell some on the way up, then we have to either just ride it through or just sell small amounts as needed, as long as we have mostly achieved overaccumulation status.

If we have not reached overaccumulation status, then we just keep buying, and we should be grateful for lower prices if we are still buying on a regular basis.

I know that I am not very helpful, yet it seems to me that each of us has to prepare our finances and our psychology for BTC price moves that could go in either direction, even extremes.

I am not claiming to like it, even though I am buying.. so far only my $86k buy oder has filled from any of the price moves of the past 7 hours, then each next buy is around $3k increments at $83k then $80k etc etc etc.. No more fills would be fine.. yet it is still not clear if there is anything underlying this latest dump or if it is just a continuation of the dump from 2-ish weeks ago.  Anymore lemons to squeeze? or are they done?

"Yearn Finance’s yETH Suffers Major Hack, Attackers Send $3M ETH to Tornado Cash"

DeFi platform Yearn Finance’s yETH product was hit by an unlimited minting of tokens on Monday, draining the entire yETH pool in a single transaction.

Quote
Balancer DeFi protocol attack tops the list of major exploits in November, marking one of 2025’s largest DeFi security breaches. The platform lost over $116 million in a sophisticated cross-chain exploit that affected multiple blockchains.
About $135 million was lost in DeFi incidents, followed by $29.8 million drained in exchange hacks, CertiK data noted.

The ocean is preparing to erupt as a volcano by storing energy from the DIP. You just have to stick with Bitcoin. You should not forget the example of those who are still buying DIP and DCA continuously. This period of Bitcoin correction should be considered an opportunity.

Buy Bitcoin in the DIP and hold. Inflation reduces the value of your assets (Fiat).

This will give people like Peter Schiff and some other bitcoin critics what to say but bitcoin will increase again and shut their month up.
