And another attempt at explaining what happend:

Bitcoin price erased recent gains, shedding nearly 5% to below $87,000 in early Asian trading hours on Dec. 1.

This came as a surge in Japanese government bond yields triggered a broad risk-off sentiment, shattering a fragile, low-volume market structure.

"low-volume market" ?

The current 24 Hour volume (is now at $77B) and continues to grow at an alarming rate. I guess the sell orders have totally overwhelmed the exchanges!

This volume is close to the value of 1 million BTC  [ $72B ÷ $86K = 837,209 BTC ]

What's shocking is this 24h volume equals about half the total amount of BTC held in ALL the treasuries by public companies and governments, which is: 1,687,322 BTC  Shocked

The two largest entities of BTC totals 975,163 BTC:

Strategy: 649,870
United States: 325,293

How can this be? What that hell is going on?  Huh

Reports show the 24‑hour volume jumped sharply and over 200,000 traders were liquidated, with total liquidations in the hundreds of millions of dollars during the move.

If BTC reclaims $88k–$89k quickly, that will suggest buyers are returning, but failure to reclaim it keeps the door open for even deeper tests of support.

My remaining silver is whaling. I sold some today  for over 1800 a kilo.

I am going for more dip.

That should be good for about 0.02 BTC or so at current dip price

I grabbed 0.0249 btc today

I am selling a second kilo of silver at 1800

I will hold rest of the cash for lower dips. about 1500 cash set for 3 buys at  85k 83k 81k

Phil - Looks like you got your wish of $85k!

And $83k looks very likely, maybe even $81k or lower.

Phil - Keep your eye on it - If you have any cash remaining you can probably snare some more at $83k

Some reports are even saying $61k, half the ATH.

Quote
The cycle is not over yet, major companies’ execs argue. The Bitcoin (BTC) drawdown is the result of sentiment shocks, not fundamentals, and unless it falls below the March 2024 ATH, the coin should continue the rally towards $160,000 soon.

December began with a market drop. At the time of writing on Monday morning (UTC), it’s down nearly 6% over the last 24 hours, standing at $3.01 trillion.

BTC specifically decreased by 5.8% in the same timeframe, currently trading at $85,999. It’s down 0.5% in a week, 22% in a month, 11.5% in a year, and 32% from the October all-time high of $126,080.

Sad to say this but I am of the thinking this bull run is over. I have to be frank, I was expecting a much more powerful surge. I made some bad decisions many years ago & sold all my Bitcoin far too early. Some of you may remember me being an asshole a bit in this very thread. It was because I am still mad at my moronic actions. I accepted it & am now back to over 1 full Bitcoin. It’s not a lot but if we do enter a bear market that lasts a couple of years I am hopeful that I can hit 2 or more full coins by the next big bull. I might sell some then but I couldn’t this year. It just didn't go high enough to make it worth it. We will be back, $1M per coin in the next 20 years with any luck.

Sounds good except that the bull run didn't even begin at all. If no bull run metrics have been hit then we have not been in a bull run. You can't just randomly declare things and change what indicators are used depending on your personal sentiment..

Looks like everybody is running (stampeding) for the exits!  Sad
Their mistake, yawn.

$800 million leveraged retards liquidated. Crazy part is after liquidation they went 50x - 100x and market maker liquidated those cunts again. Revenge trade is bitch. Smiley

It was obvious no organic dump but a organized team effort for a blatant liquidity grab.

We're still in a bull market because data says so is more trustworthy that your feelings.

This might also have contributed to the recent sell-off:

Law enforcement officers from Switzerland and Germany have taken down the Cryptomixer cryptocurrency-mixing service, believed to have helped cybercriminals launder stolen funds.

The joint action was part of "Operation Olympia," and it took place between November 24 and November 28 in Zurich, Switzerland.

I think a lot of people don't understand the difference between bull market and bull run, they are not the same thing. We are in a bull market but a real bull run is still absent, so they are both wrong.
